Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe staff was not very friendly. They were polite though.
The location was too good. we could see Mt Fuji from our room on a sunny morning. The breakfast was ok as we are vegetarians , we didn't have much choice.

United StatesThere were not a lot of gluten-free options at breakfast. My husband struggled to get enough to eat. The scrambled eggs were very runny in consistency. Not we we are used to.
We had a corner room with a view of Mt Fuji and a tatami sitting area with western beds. I contacted the hotel ahead of time regarding a gluten-free meal for my husband. The hotel was very responsive. They assured me that it was not a problem. We had a dinner reservation. When we showed up. The staff were very prepared and provided GF options and even a list with allergy information for breakfast. We were blown away. The hotel is right next to the train station and very close to a park and shrine. The front desk staff helped us ship our luggage. Everyone was very nice. The best part was the onsen with a view of sunset and Mt. Fuji. It's a great overnight stay. Highly recommend it.

United StatesThe hotel is located exceptionally convenient location. Only a few minutes from JR station. The view of Mt Fuji from the room we stayed and the bath at the top floor was fantastic. The hotel offers great services, and great amenities.

CanadaWife said it is not cheap lol.
Located literally next to the JR station. Good size room, nice, feels new and good body care. Lots of good restaurants around. Public onsen clean and nice view. Hotel restaurant incredible view of Fuji san. Bonus. The Fuji san glass/cup was actually the cheapest we have seen in Izu. (See photo.)

SingaporeI really wanted to extend my stay here and I would have if my itinerary allowed. I loved the window nook (if you get the Mount Fuji view, that would make a perfect reading spot). The rooftop bath is spectacular and you can check how crowded it is from the TV so you don't waste time going up and finding out it's packed. Located to the right of the train exit. There's a Tully's coffee below and a couple of eateries including a pretty good unagi restaurant next door. Getting to Mishima Skywalk was a breeze via the bus.

SwitzerlandEverything was great!
This hotel exceeded my expectations a lot. It is next to the train station, a bit difficult to locate (we needed to go around). The room was beautiful with a view towards the park nearby. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, with fresh fish being prepared by a chef. We were even able to spot Mt. Fuji from the viewing floor as the weather was good.

SingaporeWifi was quite horrible in this hotel. On the last day, I decided to just use the data on my eSIM instead of relying on the wifi. Considering it’s a 4 star hotel, the wifi really needs to be fixed! Also felt that the room layout wasn’t very well planned but I suppose it was to provide the guests with a “woke up and saw Fuji” kinda vibe.
Great view of Mt Fuji from the hotel. Will be better if I had gotten the side with Mt Fuji view but the view from the highest floor’s bath area was great too!
