Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesCheck-in was a pain. Partly because we were a big group and arrived separately, but also it was hard to communicate with the property manager. The second level room was tricky to get to because you need to duck and one step had a beam on it. The first floor family room has the toilet outside the unit which is not ideal during winter and when you need to go in the middle of the night.
Location was great. One block from the train station. Restaurants and grocery were walking distance. The wine store/car rental beside it has a money changer inside.

It was nice to experience a traditional Japanese style room. But for me a very 2 Nights uncomfortable sleep.. but expected when sleeping on futon beds.. shower and toilet were awesome.. nice to have a seperate dining area.. very handy to information centre and fijisan st. One stop to Fuji Q st.. we are at Mos burgers each night and can highly recommend. Room was very clean. With airconditioning.. Recommend if you are looking for a real Japaneese experience.

AustraliaIf you're staying in the Japanese Style room it is on the 2nd floor which only has stairs so be aware if your luggage is heavy. The pillows are also very small.
The owner was nice, the location was very close to the station and the vibe of the Japanese style room was very cute and fun!

AustraliaThe room lacks amenities. The pillows are very uncomfortable, and there's a lot of traffic noise from the road.
The owner is absolutely delightful, and the location is very good - 2 minute's walk from the station.

AustraliaWe couldn't use too many electronic items at once (eg kettle and microwave) as there was a note saying that it may short-circuit the apartment. Not really an issue for us, but something to be aware of.
The owner was very sweet and guided us to our room. The room was spacious, and we had a lovely view of Mount fuji in the morning. Everything was tidy and comfortable. Would stay here again.

PolandIt was right in front of the Bus and train Fujisan station. We had a view of Fuji from our bedroom window. The whole apartment was in Japanese style. It got colder at night but the futons were warm, there was AC and a heated mattress provided.

SingaporeLevel 1 & 2 was divided by a wooden panel. Could hear the other residents loud and clear.
Conveniently located near fujiyama Station. Able to view Mt fuji although there was some obstruction due to low level. Japanese owner waited up for us even though it was way past check in timing, made sure we were comfortable and settled in before she left.

AustraliaWe stayed in the family room with 3 double decker beds but there were only 3 of us. We found the space to be quite small with 2 medium sized luggages. We could lay them flat but had to keep them closed. Not sure how people with more than 2 would do. We found that 3 people in the room was doable but any more and it'd be cramped. Also, overall the place was a little worn down eg. Sofa had stains on it, the bar stools' leather were worn out. The beds were also quite hard as they were futon beds, but the pillows were those bean ones that were quite comfortable. Lastly, beware of this, but the toilet is actually outside. As in you have the kitchen area, the bed area, the shower, then right at the end is a door that leads to the back of the building and then a few steps to the left is the toilet. So if you're not a fan of having to walk out in the cold from the comfort of your room, you've been warned. However, I was travelling with my mum who complained about it at first but she got used to it. And it really helps that the bidet seat is VERY warm.
The owner was a friendly Japanese lady who was very helpful. She couldn't speak any English so we had to use Google translate but she was attentive and friendly. The heater was good despite it being very cold and the room kept warm well. The water pressure in the shower was excellent and the water was very hot. Though, we couldn't figure out how to make it cooler.. There were umbrellas to use and the check in/check out process was simple with lock box for the key. The location was a 2 minute walk from Mt Fuji station. Overall, I thought it was really good for the price despite some little discomforts but considering the area and the prices of the other hotels, I can live with some minor discomfort.

AustraliaThe pillows are very small. I think they are traditional Japanese pillows as they are filled with beans. Needed to climb stairs to go to our room. The bathroom's windows are facing the hallway, which give you less privacy as you can see people walking in the hallway through the tampered glass of the windows.
The accommodation is very close to Mt Fuji Station. We rented Japanese room to experience Japanese vibe. It was great. We can see Mt Fuji from the window of our room. The heating system and water pressure was strong. We loved the electric heated futons. The room was very clean. The toilet was very modern with heated toilet seat and bidet. The bathroom floor was lined with rubber mat so it's not cold nor slippery.

PhilippinesI don't like that the toilet is located outside and you need to go out to use it at night. It was too cold during our stay and we are not comfortable to go out.
The host is friendly even though she doesn't speak any English. She did not hesitate to help us when we can't open the door because we arrived late. It's hard to look for someone to help at night around the area because it was so quiet so it's a good thing that she just lives around the area. The mattress has a heater also and they have a microwave oven to reheat food in the morning.
