Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThere’s no elevator but staff were kind enough to help us with moving our luggage into our rooms.
New, modern, clean and well maintained. Just a minute’s walk from Yufuin station, very close to the main shopping street and convenience stores all around. Beautiful furniture, big bathtub and rooms were spacious and well ventilated. Loved relaxing at the onsen and sauna after a long day. I had the entire onsen for myself during my stay in December.

SingaporeThere is a carpark that is opposite the hotel but the staff told us that its really expensive and told us to park at the carpark besides the station. Still less than 200mm walking distance. Maybe can inform beforehand. There is no lift in the hotel. The staff was quite helpful and took the luggage up to the 3rd floor. The electrical points are not located at convenient spots at the TV area. Onsen area is a bit small and its used by ladies and guts. Just different timings for the day. Ended up not going.
Didnt do the breakfast. Location of the hotel is quite central. There are a couple of restaurants nearby and a convenience store just opposite the hotel. Room is really spacious by Japanese standard. Electrical plugs are located just besides the beds. Nice cafe at the hotel receptionist.

SingaporeNo lift. But the staff helped to carry the luggages up. The hotel also discourages us from storing luggage due to lack of space. Not a big deal as there were plenty of lockers within a 2-5 min walk away. But it would have made the stay really close to perfect.
Excellent location, super close to the train station, convenience stores and plenty of great food. Room was huge for just the two of us. Public bath was nice as well, whenever we used it, it was empty. Everything seemed clean and new. Ability to wash our clothes was a plus. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Very very very convenient location, just few steps a way from yufuin bus terminal. Next to the hotel is Unagi rice restaurant. Hotel equipped with private onsen and sauna, though small but just nice, no complaint. Hotel has in house cafe too. Room is super spacious and with superb nice vibe. Love it love it love it ! Will stay here again if return to Yufuin next time.

SingaporeBe careful of the elevated step between some spaces, e.g. between bedroom and sink/bathroom, toilet.
Very close to Yufuin train and bus stations. Located above their cafe. Nice onsen with both hot and cold water onsen and a sauna, but need to alternate timing with men and women. Very new, clean and spacious. Toilet is separated near the entrance.

AustraliaNo lift, and no service staff available from 10.30pm. However they will advise you of number to call in case of emergency.
Very close to Yufuin Station and Yufuin Bus Centre. Clean and large rooms, well designed bathroom. Coin laundry available. Has their own cafe downstairs, and also public onsen available though we did not use it. There is also a 7-11 nearby along with restaurant options. Ace location.

ThailandThere's no elevator so it's a struggle to take our large luggages up and down the stairs (our rooms were on the 3rd floor). There's no breakfast service at the hotel so nearby 7-11 was our only choice. It'd be great if the hotel can offer simple breakfast/coffee. There's only one onsite public bath on 1st floor (there're bathroom in the hotel room though) and it was scheduled for 'male' on that day. However, I was able to use it and lock the door as we were the only party on the night.
The place is new and nicely designed with minimal style. Location is convenient as it is just 5 mins walk from Yufuin station. We had the place to ourselves as we were the only party on the days. The beds were comfy enough and the ensuite bathroom was rather nice.
