Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomTowels are quite small considering you have to pay but are only ¥200.
Clean bedding, free tea and coffee, clean toilets and showers with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. So close to Hiroshima station! Instructions were clear and easy to follow.

FranceI didn't appreciate that the ad didn't say that you had to pay for towels and that you had to leave the premises at certain times. This needs to be clear in the ad because it's not a given for a vast majority of tourists.
Excellent location, very clean and quiet.

New ZealandI would definitely stay here again but only if I could request a lower bunk away from the main door. I have seen it in another review but bunk 3 (up top right in front of the door) was not great. I can see that they have added a top curtain to try help but every time someone opens the door a huge blast of light hits you, as well as the constantly lit green evacuation sign (see realistic picture below). Other beds would definitely not be as affected by the issue, so don’t let this put you off staying here just be aware.
It’s a small female only guesthouse right by the station (great location)! The cubicle itself is a good enough size and I loved that they provided small portable fans you could put in your bed area. The hostel felt clean and safe.

South KoreaThe location was good, the place was clean and the bed was comfy however a towel wasn’t included in the price which was a bit disappointing. Quite a few amenities required an extra purchase.

United KingdomEasy walking distance from the train station. Also the tram stops right in front. Yet it has a very calm and quiet atmosphere. Staff was very accommodating and also easy to arrange a bag drop off time. There are some nice restaurants nearby (by the station) Enjoyed an outstanding okonomiyaki.

IndonesiaThe problem is we need to leave the room at 10 until 12 so we can’t sleep more that is an inconvenient if we went to sleep more.
I really like the location, the comfort of the bed

PolandFirstly, it was really cold. In the living room there was at least heater but in the bed room it was freezing. The hostel also has some very strange rules that are not common in other hostels, even the Japanese ones. Such as the need to not be in the hostel between 10-12 or paying (and not that little) for leaving a luggage after the check out. I know it's mentioned in the description but I still think it adds an unnecessary discomfort for the travelers and is worth mentioning in case someone do not check the rules properly before booking.
The localization was really good. Just a few minutes away from the Hiroshima Station and 20-30 away from main tourist attractions. It had all necessary hygiene products, an access to a fridge, green tea and coffee. It was clean and easy to socialize with other guests.

NetherlandsMy blanket had some small holes, so it's definitely old.
Very lovely, calm and comfortable place to stay. You can get tea, use blankets and make yourself comfortable. It's very peaceful and quiet, which I enjoyed after a busy day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Do keep in mind that towels are not included. Shampoo and soap are however. I'd definitely recommend this to female travelers.

AustraliaTiny kitchen. Only 2 showers and toilets which would be an issue if the place was full. Had to leave between 10 and 12 every day.
Close to station (5 min walk) but 35mins walk to Peace Park and centre. Very clean, lots of toiletries provided. Staff were nice but very infrequently there.

CanadaThere's a little bit of an odd smell when you open the door into the cubicles, I'm not too sure what it is but it kinda smells like when you walk into a old musty home with a little scent of oranges. My cubicle didn't have the top curtain so the exit sign was shining directly into my face. I just ended up sleeping with my head near the curtains.
There were many amenities (such as lotion, shampoo, body soap, face cleanser, face lotion) and if you forgot anything they had it available. Towels and water were 100-200 yen. I liked how if your cubical was hot, they had fans you were welcome to bring into your cube. They also had extra desk mirrors for makeup and the place was furnished so that it felt very cozy.

HungaryThe luggage drop-off before checkin was not really welcomed, but I could do it. There is an EXIT light in the room for fire safety and it was lighting to my face the whole night since the curtains are not blocking the light on the top bunks, so I couldn't really sleep. Avoid bed 3 if possible
Small and cozy accommodation close to the station. The bathrooms and sinks are packed with toiletry items for woman which is a nice feature.

NetherlandsThe check in process was a bit complicated with the tickets you had to get to pay for the hostel. In the end it all worked but it took a bit more time.
Very close to Hiroshima station! Just one tip if you want to leave your luggage at the hostel after check out I recommend you to use the lockers at the main train station which are pretty cheap (400, 500 and 700 yen for small, median, large locker) instead of using the luggage storage at the hostel which costs 800 yen per hour. Hostel room is very clean and comfortable!
