There is no true kitchen for guests. It is possible to cook outside but there was only cold water for washing dishes. Fortunately the host was kind and let us use her rice cooker.

Not very many places to eat that we could find nearby, but the 7/11 was not too far. The dessert restaurant Mer seems to have closed.

Gamigami is located with a fantastic view across the inland sea with islands near and in the distance. It is a pity that cables are in this view as seen from the rooms but you can go up on the flat roof for an unobstructed view. It is not very far on a nearly flat road to the ferry to Onomichi so it makes a good last night if you are cycling from Imabari taking several days as we did. We had a comfort Japanese style room.

The location is quite far from any amenities, but there is a bus stop nearby and borrowing the bikes helped a lot.

The views were lovely and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The owner went out of her way to help us and even let us borrow her bike to get to the shops and back.

While we thought there is a kitchen available and bought groceries for cooking, there was only a microwave so we went through night very hungry. We could not use the bath tube during our stay.

Amazing host treated us really well and online check-in allowed us to come very late in the night. The shower room had everything we needed and more. We could heat up food in common area and enjoy beautiful sunrise.

Great guest house, everything is thought through, very clean and you will find everything you need for your stay (I was very pleased to find cleansing oil, face wash and body lotion in addition to more common shampoo and body gel). The owner is super nice!!

The owner is the most helpful guest house owner I've ever encountered. She went out of her way to make our stay the best it could be. The location is beautiful, I would 100% stay here again.

The location was a bit hard to navigate on arrival - we ended up getting 2 taxis from Onomichi. What we should have done was to catch the ferry from the quay opposite Onomichi station and then got taxtis or a bus from Mukaishima.

Youka was a brilliant host. She was interested in everything we needed, organised rental bikes for us and even offered us a lift to the ferry on departure. Unlike some of the places we stayed she was generally around and available to help with stuff. The room was great for a family, although my wife and I moved into a Japanese style tatami room the second night which is definitely recommended. The location overlooks the sea and is unique. Great for cycling the Shimanami Kaido. We went in April but would love to return in the summer to use some of the SUP's and jump in the sea!

The hostel is right in front of a quiet beach, in a very calm neighborhood. You can hear the waves at night, the birds in the morning, pet the local cat or even sheep. The common space is big and comfortable. The host is really nice, and we were very grateful when she gave us a ride. (the bike location center or supermarkets are a 45 min walk, add 5 min for the ferry to go to Onomichi centre). The traditional japanese room is quite big, with view on the sea. If you have a car this is a perfect place to stay. 100% would come again!

The beach in walking distance is contaminated and can not swim. It was unfortunate and reduced our enjoyment. The Cat Alley is basically deserted. 80% of shops were down. Information on the web was exaggerated.

Nice environments. Onomichi City is quiet and peaceful. Noodle shop was good. The owner was very friendly and responsive.

It’s in a quiet residential area with very limited restaurant and shopping options unless you can walk 1-2 km or take a taxi. Personally I didn’t mind walking a couple km across a quiet, scenic island in the evening to go to a restaurant (it’s safe and very pleasant), and taxis are affordable, but be aware and plan accordingly.

Location is right on the coast of a small island with unobstructed ocean views. The Manager is very helpful and even picked me up from the ferry terminal at the beginning of my stay and dropped me off at the end. Price was excellent.

host was very nice, warm and welcoming. they picked us up and sent us off after checkout. we cooked dinner and host kindly offered to wash dishes for us, we were quite tired from cycling during the day so it was great relief. there was also a massage chair and i felt good to use for my sore muscles. we booked the two tatami rooms and they were comfortable. we were able to see the sunrise the next day as well, nice view of the water nearby.

Staff was so friendly, quiet hours, excellent view for what we paid, futon mattresses so classic Japanese experience, but might be a bit rough for older folks who might like fluffy beds
