Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandNothing to do with the hostel. But be careful of some of the restaurants in Chinatown, some don’t have kitchens, very rude staff and are a bit of a scam. There are some great ones but just be careful.
Right across the road from a shrine. The breakfast was nice and simple- some cereal and yoghurt with orange juice. There was a great selection of hot drinks, I particularly liked the hot chocolate. Didn’t try the free cup noodle in the evening but the fact they offer this service is great. They also offer free soup in the afternoon. Some nice free amenities, tooth brush, shaving foam and razors etc. Towels provided, a private bath and a sauna all included in the price.

CanadaThe facilities are as described. The provided earplugs are recommended. The women's bathroom was well equipped. I wish they would lower the room temperature at night though, since it can get stuffy in the cabins. Even with the fan running it was a bit too hot for me to sleep comfortably. For a capsule/cabin style hotel though this is about as good as it gets.

United States10 minutes walk to one of two subway stations. Not far, unless you're dragging luggage along.
There were so many things included, I was really amazed at the value. Laundry, sauna, even a bookshelf of manga (only 3 books in English, however). Right in the heart of Chinatown, with lots of Chinese food.

New ZealandThe time slot for women using the public bath is too short. Only can be used during 1500-2000. It's too early in such a busy area in Yokohama.
Private area. Better than most of the hostels. Have enough space for baggage and stuff. Great location and convenient.

SwedenSome more food/ breakfast alternatives would be appreciated. I would love to see chinese/japanese breakfast inspired rather than western inspired breakfast. Embrace culture!
Good place to stay at when visiting yokohama area! Stress free check in and the facilities are exactly what you need before resting after a long day of touristing!

PhilippinesThe property is a little bit walk from the subway especially if you have a heavy luggage, but the area is very accessible.
It is like a hotel. Female cabins lets you have your personal privacy. There is a somewhat adequate space to organize your luggage

Location, comfort, cleanliness, professional and friendly staff, everything was perfect. I was in Japan for 38 days, staying at various accommodations in different cities, and this was one of the best. Every hostel should be modeled after this. Would definitely stay here again if I am back in Yokohama.

MacauNothing really. The common area closes a bit early and it's difficult to eat in the capsule room because I am worried that I would spilt something.
It offered free ice sticks and also had a hot water bath. You can also take free drinks. I also got free breakfast (maybe from the booking.com genius). The bed is super comfy. It's in the Chukagai so lots of foods to eat nearby. Convenience store is like 5 min away.

United StatesThe only complaints I had about my stay were that the mattress is very hard so it’s a bit hard to fall asleep and the rooms are all connected. So you can hear everyone around you. It’s never loud but for light sleepers it can be an issue.
I was very impressed with the global cabin. For my first time in a pod hotel it was very nice. Everything was clean, tons of amenities and it feels safe. There’s a safe that is surprisingly big and a lock for luggage.

United StatesThat I didn't stay even more days in Yokohama.😁 The hotel was almost as enjoyable as the 5 star hotel I stayed in Taiwan.

AustriaIf the lounge area and sleeping area were fully separated, they lounge would be usable after 11pm.
Located in the heart of Chinatown, it was the perfect place to arrive in the evening. It comes with a Sento, complementary Yakult and ice cream for after bath and in the after hours they even provided free Shoyu Ramen. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Lounge area had free drinks and soups and was very comfortable, with private corners.

ItalyThe only thing could be that when you have a double cabine, people together can talk too much during the night time.

Clean and comfy in the heart of Chinatown ! You don’t even feel in cabine but more in a micro room ! I’ll be back for sure !

SingaporeNothing to not like about
I love everything about this. From free amenities(toothbrush, shaver, ice cream, night ramen etc) to facilities(onsen, sauna and free space). For the price I paid and the service they provided, it's totally worth it. With it being located in the heart of Chinatown, Minato Mirai and such can just be done by walking. Oh they have pajamas and tv for each bed.
