Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomWhen you arrive you have to do your own check in on a machine, including scanning your passports yourself. Normally we wouldn’t mind this at all, but after a long day of travel it was a bit on the frustrating side. The staff member attending us, whilst very kind when we approached him later, did not speak to us at all to help and only very quietly said hello. He seemed perhaps a little inexperienced and too shy, and it would have been nice to be greeted with a helpful and friendly face when arriving. That said, it is only a small note. The one thing we disliked completely was the cleaning. We understand and do not mind that they only clean the rooms every 3 days (it seems to be the norm here in Japan and we’re glad it is for the environment) but I was disappointed to come back to our room the day it was cleaned to find that they did not replenish our sanitary bags (never mind the fact that we were only given 2 to begin with) and that they did not clean/replace our mugs and cups. I think 3 days of use warrants at least a clean if not a new set of these.
The property is very well located and well connected to both subway and bus stations. You can even walk to Kyoto Station if you don’t mind a 20 minute stroll. The hotel is very modern and very easy to use and we especially appreciated the straightforward laundry machines. We also really loved the shower and the bed, both very relaxing!

Room is clean and there is a lot of space (which is not common for Japanese hotel rooms). The shower was also a bit bigger then the usual showers in Japanese hotels.
