The friendly vibe of the place. The staff are EXCEPTIONAL. They helped us so many times. Some speak english very well. So close to the Ueno station and Ueno park. We just really enjoyed our stay here.

1. Checking in process is a bit of hassle, need to login to their website to fill in form etc 2. Recommendation: Let future guest to know to use Iriya Exit when travelling to hostel, take any other exit and you'll be lost and forced to take a detour

1. Location is in front of UENO station - Iriya Exit (3rd Floor) to G Floor, easy to get confused the 1st time 1.5 the Ueno Park/Zoo is on the opposite side albeit need to go through the station from here 2. Reception available almost always, English proficient and friendly 3. Theres a wide lounge/canteen @Ground Floor with lots of toys and boardgames 4. Keycard lock and good shower

Great location. Right across Ueno Station. Convenience stores nearby, some food options. Beds are comfy. Rooms, showers, and toilets are clean. I appreciate the free shampoo, conditioner, and soap.

The room was really small, we weren’t able to function properly with two people and two suitcases. We had two big suitcases and we weren’t able to open even one of them in the room (only on the bed) and it was a struggle to get in and out of the room. I don’t understand why there is a bathtub when there’s no space for luggage. We also had a balcony that we weren’t allowed to go on, unfortunately.

in comparison to asakusa branch, each bed have a designated locker. In ueno branch there is only a small lock box in the bed but it cant fit anything big like a camera so i had to bring my camera with me the entire time even tho i didnt need it at times.

i used to stay at asakusa branch, and i liked that it is basically the same system ! Ueno branch is a little better because the train station is accessible to many lines!

I booked the double bed room, and it was super terrible considering the fact that it was very close to the train tracks. I couldn't sleep at all with the loud noises till 1am and the noise starts again at 430am when the train service resumed. Super bad experience and disappointing considering that I paid more for more comfort and peace. The dormitory is much better as the doors and windows were soundproof, unlike the double room I had. I do not recommend this room if you are a light sleeper like me.

quite disappointed for the facilities (without shower towels). As for reference I have been travel around Japan and mostly stay in hostel because I like the atmosphere and importantly the facilities of all the hostel that I stay facilities are provided well. And this is the first time that I met without providing towel and need to rent for the towel for 200yen ! So speechless!

Slightly softer beds?

We were pleasantly surprised that it was so nice and new. The room was small, but a great bathroom, comfy bed and bedside fridge!!! Such a handy location for heading to and from Narida Airport. We will be back.

Check-in time starts at 16:00, a bit late. A tiny locker for valuables. Very little space for people with large suitcases.

Excellent location next to JR Ueno Station, clean bathrooms, strong WiFi, comfortable bed.
