The place has the same vibe as the photos give you. The place is very small but that is part of the charm. Mii is one of those rare Japanese people you can meet during your trip: more talkative, can speak english very well, and just generally fun to chat with. I also had the pleasure to meet her friend Aina. Didn't have much time to chat with the other staff members because of the short stay. Wish I could have stayed a bit longer but everything was fully booked! Now, a word of warning to my fellow finnish travellers! Mii might mistake you as a swede so book at your own risk...!

The only downsides were the steep stairs, which might be challenging for those with heavy luggage, and the mixed dormitory, which felt a bit cramped. I’d recommend paying a bit more for the larger rooms, as they offer more comfort and space.

Guest House mii is a fantastic place to stay in Osaka! The location is simply unbeatable—situated near two metro stations, one of which offers easy access to Osaka Castle and Umeda Station. Namba is also within walking distance, though you can conveniently hop on the metro to get there as well. The staff truly stood out—they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Their helpfulness made my stay even more enjoyable.

A charming, old-school gem in Osaka! The host goes above and beyond, offering services like luggage storage and even forwarding forgotten glasses. The guest house is a perfect blend of price, cleanliness and comfort. With more than enough amenities, it's just a short stroll to the lively Dotonbori street.

Great location and price. The shared bedroom isn't very large, but you do get a decent enough private space. Mii was also very welcoming and gave great recommendations of things to do. Greatly recommend if you're planning on staying in Osaka.

I stayed at Mii Guesthouse a year and a half ago, and it has only improved since then! The guesthouse feels even cozier now, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Mii, the owner, is truly the best host you could ask for—always ready with fantastic tips about Osaka and the surrounding areas. The cleanliness is top-notch, and every detail is thoughtfully maintained. On top of that, the other guests were lovely, making the stay feel like home. The dorm is quite small and you have a couple of stairs to go up. I didn't mind though.

I just looooved it! Mii and Ruby and Cecilia, her two volunteers, are just the sweetest and made me feel so welcomed! You can feel that Mii put a lot of love and detail into everything and the atmosphere is very familiar. I would go there anytime again and would have loved to stay longer!!

The owner and all the staff are super friendly and helpful which makes everyone comfortable and brings a joyful and chatty atmosphere! I had a really nice stay and it's too bad I couldn't stay longer! The house is well decorated and it feels like home. The upper room is a bit hot but there is air conditioning so it's not a problem :) Everything was clean also. I definitely recommend it.

It’s nobody’s fault, but there are a lot of stairs (especially if you’re staying in the dormitory on the fourth floor). The showers and toilets are nice, but there is only one sink.

A charming guesthouse ran by a wonderful host, Miiさん. The socialising area is lovely and has a great vibe. The guesthouse is also very close to a metro station and to a good few convenience stores. The dormitory room is very small, but that allows you to get to know your roommates much better and turned out great for me - we did a lot together while in Osaka and are still in contact!

This was my first ever Hostel stay and Mii made it so easy for me! The staff are all very friendly and very easy to just sit and chat to, the facilities are kept clean daily and the room/bed was what I needed as a solo traveller. I'm 6ft3 and booked out a double bed room for myself, the bed fit me well apart from knocking my head on the upper bunk a few times 😅 Since its a small hostel, the other occupants using the other rooms appeared to respect the quiet time which was even better as my room was right beside the facilities. The hostel itself is located within walking distance of everything you need or want to explore via train. Location is also accessible from Kansai International airport Limo Bus service which drops you off about 10 minute walk up the road. Extremely satisfied with this experience and would definitely be booking it again the next time I visit Osaka.

Cozy little guest house with a nice common space at the ground floor. Amazing staff, friendly and helpful. Mii is a lovely landlady, always smiling and cheerful. She even invited me for a day trip to the stunning village of Koya. Great WiFi, free coffee/the/water, clean bathrooms, air conditioning in the rooms, 2 usb port each bed to charge your devices without worrying about sockets compatibility. I'd definitely come back there next time in Osaka. Thanks 💚
