Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaLift is bit small if you have big luggage. The carpet is a bit old but is kept clean.
It's in quiter part of Tsukiji but only a few minute walks to Tsukiji Fish Market and main train lines that can get you anywhere. There's also a bus stop in front of the building. Room is big and content, sound proof and quite. Self check-in is easy.

Czech RepublicIt seemed that the apartment had not been properly cleaned for a long time. There was a lot of dust. The bed was not very comfortable. You can hear noise from outside because the windows don't have good insulation.
The apartment is spacious and there's everything you need. Flexible self check-in.

AustraliaOnly downside was it was quite a walk to get into Ginza city centre, (about 20 min). Bed in room was very small.
Great value for money, room had great aircon however bed was rather small for my partner and I. Loved the washing machine and kitchen area in room. The train stations were about 10 min walk away. Bus stop was great, just outside hotel. Room was clean and spacious for Japan based accommodation.

AustraliaThe bed was a letdown for this accommodation and found it difficult to fit 2 full sized adults comfortably. We were a little further from public transport than we would have liked. The room layout could offer more.
The room was an ok size but offered plenty of facilities. The attendanct was very pleasant and helpful, and the room itself offered a pretty decent view. The facilities themselves offered a fair amount and the room itself was comfortable enough.

SerbiaThe rooms could be a bit cleaner (mostly vacuum cleaned better) but nothing that takes away much from the comfort and pleasure of the stay. Also, if you're not familiar with it Japanese standard double beds are usually smaller (width 140 cm) compared to the Western standards (160 cm) so having two people sleep in the same bed can be uncomfortable for some.
The accommodation is on a good location, not too far away from the famous fish market and also the Ginza district (cca 20 minutes by foot). Check-in is really convenient and quick (you get a code for the room door) and rooms have a kitchen and a nice balcony. The rooms are also nicely equipped with advertised amenities.

United StatesI did not receive an email with passcode for guesthouse entrance or room one hour before arrival. I found the passcodes in a message in the booking.com app which disappeared after I read it. Glad I saved a screenshot. Nobody answered the phone number provided at the main entrance. The phone isn’t connected to an answering machine.

The apartment is cosy but comfortable. Would be very happy to stay there again - especially with the availability of a washing machine for longer visits. (the pictures are true to life). Thought it would be noisy from the emergency sirens during the night, however the apartment was quiet.

United KingdomThe apartments need a deep clean. The carpet and pillows have a heavy smell. We found that high touch areas like cupboards or doors were full of handprints which isn't great especially after covid times. Some bits I cleaned myself. Microwave/fridge had traces of food. There was some sauce spread on the wall. A clothes rack to dry clothes outside on the balcony would be very good. A bit more care to these details and the place would be excellent.
These apartments are excellent value for the money. It's not the first time we are staying here. You get a lot more space then in a similar hotel room but also have a kitchen and a big bathroom with washing machine. The area is very quiet despite being next to a big streat. Walking distance to the fish market and several tube stations. 2 combinis 2 mins away.
