Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPillows! Possibly the one area where the hotel fell down was that all you got was the standard Japanese pillow filled with some sort of beads with a covering on one side of wadding. Unless you sleep on your back these are pure torture. While this is also is the norm in many hotels I have stayed at others, some well off the beaten track, which have either provided alternatives in the room or a selection, either at reception or on each floor. Luckily my daughter had brought her own pillow, just in case. Sad to say the breakfast offering was not enticing for me.
The rooms appear to be more spacious than other hotels in Tokyo I have stayed at, location is in what is really a business district so it's relatively quiet. Most rooms have an area on the outside of the building (ours wasn't accessible) planted with greenery which was really pleasant. The in-room drip coffee was probably the best I have had in Japan (exception being an hotel in Osaka which gave us a fully stocked Nespresso machine). If you needed a snack the supermarket across the road was open 24 hours. My daughter loved the build your own bath bomb.

BahrainFabulous hotel and staff 🤩 peaceful, and well located to metro just 5-10 min walk and supermarket opposite. Everything you need to enjoy your time in Tokyo. Lived the bath salts and oils we could use and the shower was amazing 🤩 enjoyed the room with a small balcony view and beds were very comfortable 😊🙏

AustraliaMy hubby and I like this property because first it was very convenient to railway stations (Hanzomon/Hibiya/Asakusa/Hamacho Lines),bus station is just outside the property, lots of local restaurants, pharmacy, supermarkets and plus only 12mins walk to TCAT station (airport limousine). The property itself is magnificent, the ambiance of it makes you confortable, the staffs are very nice and very helpful. There is restaurant as well that you can book to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our room is always been cleaned everyday.

United StatesWe had great time here. The dinner course at the restaurant Session was delicious, beautifully presented dishes and great services. There is only a 440 service charges (sitting fee) per person and should be more. The buffet breakfast was delicious too. We loved all the salad toppings . The hotel has 2 supermarkets just right around the corner, coins laundry room on 4th floor. Few blocks from OCAT and a short walk to a direct subway line that takes you to Tokyo sky tree shopping mall with fantastic shops.

South AfricaClassy hotel that is value for money. The staff were very friendly and professional and the rooms are really nice. It’s in a good location, close to coffee shops, bakeries, good restaurants and convenience stores. There are also multiple train stations close by. We stayed for 8 nights and we loved it!

South Africanothing!
Goold location, convenience stores are just a corner away, I took airport bus to T-CAT (Tokyo City Air Terminal ) and walked about 400m to hotel. Tokyo marathon route was about 200-300m away from hotel so if your family want to support you, this hotel is a good choice. I took Bus No.11 then Bus No.05-2 to Expo collect my entry. The bus No.11 is only 200m away from hotel and it also take you to Tsukiji. Taking bus is better way to see the city. There are 3 undergrounds, 650m and 900m away from hotel.

United KingdomThe window wasn't well isolated so this was our only stay in Japan where we could hear traffic noise from outside, even though we were on the 8th floor.
A distinct building with balconies and lots of greenery on the facade. A warm, wood clad interior. Friendly staff at reception, plenty of washing machines and dryers available. Good location with a large supermarket across the street.

United KingdomWhile the room is beautiful, there was no space to put any of my things 'away' so I never could get fully unpacked or really make it feel like home. Next time I will get a bigger room but there was no availability on my dates this time around. Also not great that breakfast is not available on Mondays & Tuesdays. Lastly, I didn't really enjoy the restaurant Session for dinner.
The room and hotel had great design, both in aesthetics and function. It was easy to feel cozy and at home at the end of every day. I loved the bath salts station and had a great time making a new soak for each day. The microwave room (with plates & utensils—so helpful!) was great for when I didn't want to go out to eat. Also loved and made use of what's in the vicinity—2 grocery stores, a lovely very good bakery, and 2 coffee shops. Definitely felt like there was great value staying here compared to other, more generic options. Also the best pajamas from any of the hotels I've stayed at in Japan. Overall it was great—I will stay again!

SwedenNothing in particular.
The room was clean and not too tight as we experienced at some other hotels. The hotel offers an exclusive feel. The hotel is close to the metro station and busses that go to the airports. There are restaurant options nearby and a supermarket which is open 24 hours.

United StatesThe Hamacho Hotel is very clean with very hospitable staff. It has many nice amenities such as blending your own bath salts and providing lounge wear that we used as pajamas. There is a 24 hour grocery store across the street and many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. There is also a park and a small garden within easy walking distance. We loved that the airport shuttle bus terminal is only 4 blocks away. All together we had an exceptional stay.

United KingdomEverything was great - nothing bad to report at all.
This was my second time staying at The Hamacho and it was still as great as the first time I visited. - The service from staff is friendly, and welcoming - they are happy to help with anything you need (luggage transfer, taxis) - The rooms have lovely light coming in, are clean, and the bedding and pyjamas are made up each time you come back to the room - There is a station in the reception lobby for making relaxing bath salts each night - Location is perfect. Subway station and bus station are only 5-10 minutes walk away - There's a great specialty coffee shop, Single O Hamacho, across the road - 24/7 supermarket and convenience store nearby. I love everything about this place and will continue to stay here each time I'm in Tokyo.
