Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I travelled around the world quite often. Tobu Hotel is one of the best hotel I have ever stayed during my vacation. The staff were great and really committed to their works. You can access to supermarket, Uniqlo shop , restaurants and train station under one roof.

NetherlandsAll I can say is that you need to understand the noise that comes with being located next to a station. Especially do not come during voting election campaign days because those people will be screaming through a megaphone very early in the morning until evening and being on the higher floors will not reduce the noise pollution by much. Bring ear plugs if you plan on sleeping well.
Good hotel, it's located on the 4th floor of the Equia Premie building so for those confused at first when leaving the station and following the signs, you need to use the elevator. Equia Premie has a few nice places to do some shopping and eat. You could go to the 2nd floor through the very same elevator connected to the Tobu hotel and go shopping inside uniqlo and immediately get back to drop it off for example. There is a nice bakery on the ground floor if you miss eating bread, it probably gets the craving done. The coin laundry as well as the vending machines inside the hotels can all be paid with IC cards so if you made the good decision to buy a suica/pasmo etc. you do not need to bring 100 yen coins, big plus as this is absolutely not the standard in most hotelsI have been in so far. Be sure to bring a power socket converter though, this hotel only has japan power outlets. Wifi speeds are pretty decent. I capped at around 90Mbps. The area itself isn't that exciting for most people, but Wakoshi is fairly well connected and you could get back to Ikebukuro in about 20-30 minutes, so if you plan to stick around that part of Tokyo this hotel isn't a bad option at all. Small warning to those interested to see the shibazakura in Chichibu also located in Saitama: you will in fact be told to go through Ikebukuro to get there despite both Chichibu and Wako being both in Saitama prefecture.

United StatesWhat I didn't like is something minimal, but I wished we were able to open the windows in our room for ventilation. When we got home, it would be so hot, and I didn't feel it right to leave the AC on the whole day. Another small thing was that even though the hotel had washers/dryers, there were only 2 so we had to wait sometimes for 1-2 hours for somebody's clothes to finish so we could put in ours. People wouldn't come right away, so we'd have to wait an extra 20 minutes for them to pick up their clothes.
I like that the train station was just underneath us so it wasn't a long walk once we got home or when we were going out. Even though the station was underneath us, it was amazingly quiet and peaceful. I also really enjoyed the breakfast from the cafe that came with the hotel.

AustraliaIt was a bit too far from Tokyo city.
although the hotel was a bit far from Tokyo it was very easy to find with lots of train and bus links. The room was clean and very comfortable and the staff were super welcoming.

PhilippinesOur room (with queen bed) for two was a bit tiny for travelers with extra luggages. I should've booked the room for twin sharing instead which looked bigger on photos.
Convenient location with restaurants, Uniqlo, and a train station right below it. We loved how mindful each room was made. They even cleaned rooms and replaced towels everyday (without us requesting). Though we didn't include breakfast in our booking since we opted to eat out daily, the free coffee machine at the lobby, and available microwaves, folding tables, and vending machines per floor were also a plus.

EstoniaFor some godforsaken reason there is only 1 ply toiletpaper. Invest a bit in that please.
Perfect for people who don't want to pay insane money to sleep in tokyo, but don't want to sleep in a capsule hotel either. The price per night is very cheap and the room is excellent. The Tokyo citycenter is only a 30 - 40 minute ride away aswell. The staff will help you with anything from shop/restaurant recommendations to helping you when you forget your keycard in your room :)

Hong KongHonestly I booked from 15 to 18 through Booking.com for twin room becoz my family members joined but unfortunately don't know which party went wrong and only Double room was available and I have to sleep with my 24 years old son on a double bed while my wife has to sleep with 26 yrs old daughter.
Selection of 4 main dish choice but I doubt how often do they change. Meal tasted fine but the small dishes had never changed in the last 4 days. Location wise is excellent!

SwitzerlandFinding the entrance to the hotel is slightly inconvenient. You have to know that you need to take an unmarked elevator (from the outside) to the 4th floor.
I visited the hotel in march 2023. It is quite new: clean, modern, everything works and it is conveniently located at the Wako-shi station (approx 15 min. from Ikebukuro station). Restaurants and a supermarket are available in the same building and more in the immediate vicinity of the station. Value for money is excellent especially since they offer an excellent Japanese-style breakfast at a cafe in the same building.

JapanI liked everything but if I could change three things they would be (very minor points): 1. Have an option for western style food for breakfasts. 2. Put the light switch for the bathroom on the right hand side of the bathroom door. 3. Install a second elevator for getting in and out of the hotel.
Everything is new and to a high quality. Bathroom is large and has all amenities. Layout is compact but well thought out and comfortable. Hotel facilities are clean and useful (ice machine and microwave on every floor). Lobby is perfect for remote work. Staff are extremely helpful (always happy to hold our luggage after checkout and before check-in). Connected to nice bakery and Starbucks and restaurants. View out of the window it's much appreciated. Although joined to train station, rooms are completely quiet so no issues sleeping. Air quality was amazing, not too dry, good ventilation, no dust or chemicals.
