Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOnly small critiques: The lift space is a little cold and hard (As the floor can be) The layout of the 5th floor, (having to walk past the leisure area to get to the shower area) is a little bit inconvenient. But I suppose it can't be helped.
Everything is nice and clean and organised. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Location is great, with a Familymart only a 30 second walk away!

ThailandThe accommodation is accessible to all of Sapporo and most importantly, the staff named Hiroto provides excellent service and can tell you the way, recommend restaurants for you, and consult your problems. The accommodation is clean and the facilities are complete

MalaysiaI don't like the upper bunk bed, as there is no enough handle to support the climb. The steps to upper bunk is too narrow. (thank you to staff change me to lower bunk). Besides, I don't like the floor on the room either, too dusty.
I like the cubicle , very comfortable height. Can really sit upright. And there is space for my luggage to put inside the cubicle. I like the hostel povide MUJI product, which is add point. I like the blind.

PhilippinesNothing, everything was good
Probably the best hostel i've stayed at in my 3 weeks in Japan. They have everything you need from basic capsule hotel amenities, kitchen space, coin laundry, iron, bathrooms in your floor and at the communal area and a huge space for your bed. It's also right smack in the middle of the city, everything is of walking distance. Oodori park is only a few meters away. There are a lot of food option outside, even convenience stores and cafes. They have the nicest staff as well.

United KingdomIt looked like my capsule hadn’t had a thorough clean. There was a few hairs and accessories left by the previous guest. This only applies to the capsule, everything else seemed very clean.
Fantastic location, Great Shower and Toilet facilities. Comfortable bed. I love the design of the capsules.

SlovakiaDecent hostel, nice lounge downstairs, the cabin/capsule is big, place for your luggage there (prefer places w/luggage storage outside the sleeping room. There is a sink and toilets in the sleeping room so that can be noisy. From sleeping room to lounge you go through outdoor space.

PhilippinesStayed here for 8 days - 7 days continuous then I returned for 1 day after my trip to Otaru and Noboribetsu. Best location. It's walking distance to all 3stations with Odori the nearest, Susukino next and Sapporo Station the farthest. It's quite near a tram stop and bus stops to the airport. I actually like that the bathroom, laundry area and kitchen are separate from the dorms because they are available 24 hours unlike in some hostels where they limit the hours because of the noise. I suggest bringing an eco bag so it will be easier to bring your stuff to the common area. The cubicle is actually larger than most I've stayed in. I stayed at a bottom bed in my first 7 days and it was very comfortable. I was on the top bunk on my 1 day though and while it's still spacious, there's a bit of a difficulty getting into the top bunk. The trash area is an issue though because it becomes so full everyday and it's not emptied out until very late in the morning so it piles up. They keep your luggage before and after checkout. Since I returned as well after a 4-day trip, they were okay to keep my bag while away.

United KingdomHaving to use the lift to move between every floor. A staircase would be nice.
Very aesthetic design Really good location Privacy of sleep pods Very helpful staff Dorms generally quiet and peaceful apart from inevitable noise from people coming and going Common area/cafe used by many local residents so it doesn’t just feel like another backpackers hostel.

TaiwanFor people who take the upper bunk bed, I personally think it’s not really easy to climb up( not literally difficult tho)
The location is convenient to reach either public transit or shops. The biggest shopping street is just right next to the hostel. Staffs are friendly and you can deposit your luggages till 22:30 before the reception is closed. The bed is comfy.

AustraliaWhile the pod design was 'novel' there was; no air extraction incorporated into the design. No options to dim lights / change colours. The 'secure box' is obviously not secure. Slide curtain usual issues of not sliding / missing hook. Japan has a superior pod design in use where all luggage goes beneath the bed & has a lockable roller door (ie ... no 'standing on yr bed to sort stuff out).
Location Ease of access to / from pod / street. Clean. Power outlet inside pod. Wifi.
