Very noisy hotel. The walls are very thin and you can hear every step of others rooms and certain noises. The windows are covered with a panel which is quite depressing as there is no view outside of window.

Bigger than what I was expecting and has the best toilet! Shower/bathtub was great too with its own heater. Washing machine was a bonus. Host were exceptional.

Unsure of whether we were supposed to sort the trash and then dispose of it ourselves at the front of the accommodation.

The bathroom heater was amazing. It not only kept the bathroom warm, but also dried our clothes really quickly. Quite an innovative addition that we did not see in most other accommodations. Staff were extremely helpful in assisting us when we were trying to figure out directions to places we wanted to visit. Quite a convenient walk from the subway entrance as well, flat roads are easy to navigate. Also walking distance from Gion street and one of the shrines.

The sofa for one extra person has a metallic bar in it. It didn’t bother me, but if you have back issues you may want to sleep on a bed.

The room itself was nice, and there was a washing machine in the room. We slept well overall, and the hotel is in a nice location. The staff was also very responsive via email.

The receptionist not a local, hence not very well known about the Japan route.

Very neat and clean room, everything have and convenient for travellers in the room, can see the care of the owner thru the entire room design. Close to many attractions such as Gion street, Kiyomizudera, train station and have few nice restaurants just 2 min walk from the hotel..The river near the hotel have great feeling especially during the morning walk. Recommended!

Some rooms are a different shape from the pictures currently provided and I think ours was slightly worse as a result. Also the fold-out bed was atrocious.

Location is superb. Easy enough stroll down to Gion/Pontocho or up onto the hill and temples. The two closest stations can get you to all the best spots in Kyoto (that aren't in walking range) within 30 minutes. The room itself had a lot of facilities that would be very useful in the middle of a trip but we didn't need.

Huge rooms, the best shower I've had in Japan, convenient check in and check out, rooms also come with a washing machine and Kitchen. No dryer unfortunately but there is a laundromat just 50mtrs down the road

very minor imperfections: no hook or bar in bathroom for towel and clothing, can add a few coat hangers near the door too, and maybe the kitchenette area should use hard flooring instead of carpet.

Great location. Walls are very thin so if you’re a light sleeper perhaps this place isn’t for you. Loved the washing machine and dry room in each apartment.

The room is big and has a washer, a mini fridge and a microwave. You can cook too if you want because its got an electric stove. It felt like an apartment rather than a hotel, which is awesome. And its close to most of the main touristy locations.

The washing machine was hard to operate even though there was an instruction, it wasnt very clear. There is no hook for towels in the bathroom!

The room is quite spacious and the bathroom is big! Toilet has heater and bidet. The kitchen is nice and functional, washing machine is a great addition to the room. Bed was comfy and we had a balcony! Great location 2min walk to bus stop and restaurants/shops.

The area is beautiful, especially at night. It is very scenic and there are many photo spots. It is also relatively close to the subway line.

The room is nice, large compared to other hotels in Japan. Good lighting, comfortable bed, complete with cooking and eating utensils and also washing machine. It's walkable to Gion but you can also take a bus. What makes me appreciate it more is the staff. We arrived past 10PM and she still waited for us.

Traditional themed hotel. Out of 4 guest houses we booked, this is the nearest one to station (Higashiyama st). Spacious and well-equipped for the tourists. They provide a complete guide for using electronics and importantly, the luggage storage service is a helpful and kind gesture. Overall, had a great stay here.
