Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelThe location is not the best. the bus stop for most buses is 25 mins walk away. You can try to catch the few buses in the morning that come here, or take one of the bikes the hostel offers (free). The owner does offer to drive you when he can though!
The owner is super hospitable and nice, he picked me up from the bus stop and even drove me to the supermarket so I could get groceries. He also jammed with me and the other guests, and taught me how to play the sanshin! The place itself is spacious and comfortable and has everything you need.

BelgiumI stayed in the hostel for a week. I had the best experience! The hostel is simple, small and super clean in a quite area with a lot of trees and a beautiful terrace where you can chill or exercise. Yomitan is the place where people don ‘t lock their doors all day long. The highlight though is Ryota the owner of the hostel and his friends. I felt like I am at home living with friends or cousins. Ryota is extremely caring and kind. He picked me up from the bus station, from the beach. He helped me rent a car half price of what you can find on the island and rented a scooter also from him for bargain price. Every morning he prepared for everyone breakfast included in the price! And according to our diet needs! Best smoothies ever. He teaches you the Shansin and is excellent musician. In general he helps you with everything you need. The atmosphere in the place is very friendly also with other guests. The day I arrived they had a gathering with other local friends with fresh grilled fish and noodles and they shared everything with us. I could write for hours and still would not be enough. Best place to have as a base and go around Okinawa and return to a relaxing atmosphere. Thank you guys for everything! See you soon.

JapanThis was the best hostel experience I have ever had! The host and guests were friendly, the breakfast (smoothie included) was wonderful. My bed was clean and comfy, the bathroom and shower facilities were perfect and clean. There were plenty of instruments to play and a microphone to sing along with the songs. The conversation was fun and friendly. The host speaks great English and translated between parties. Making for good conversation within the group. This hostel made my trip so much better, I enjoyed my time there more than any other aspect of the trip! 10000000 times would go again given the opportunity. There are not enough good things to say about this place.

CanadaHonestly the only thing I didn't like was the length of my bunk bed. I'm 6'3" so my feet and head were touching if I layed out fully straight, but you can just lay diagonally (not a big deal)
Staying here in Yomitan was a big highlight of my Japan trip. The owner of the hostel is one of the kindest, most accomodating people you'll ever meet, we even went out for Soba one night! I can't recommend this place enough. 10/10
