Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The service was phenomenal, lots of small convenient amenities for families with small kids. The breakfast and room sizes were perfect. Two twin beds put together was 240x200cm, room enough for two adults and two kids. The location was also very convenient, taxi from Nagoya station was just around 1000¥.

PhilippinesNo washer/dryer, it would have been perfect but they’re a few blocks away from a coin laundromat.
Central location and we learned how to use the city bus because of their location. Rooms are bigger than business hotels, loved the fact that the toilet is separate from the shower. Near a bus station that goes to chubu centrair, staff told us about it and it was the best way to get to the airport especially if you have heavy luggage. Staff also never forgot about my message to them asking them if they can send our luggage to the airport, they kept asking me from check-in until check-out. So thoughtful of them.

New ZealandWhen I booked it, I thought it was closer to the main station than it actually was. More like a 15-20 min walk. A shuttle or connection would be handy.
Comfy hotel, clean. The location is by the river with good food options around.

ThailandDuring my stay, the hotel restaurant got party reservation. I guess some of party guests secretly smoke at the elevator hall.
This is the 2nd time I stay in this Hotel. The room is clean and comfort, also larger than other hotel at the same price. Location is convenient, not so far from tube and convenient store. You can freely pick amenities at Lobby (Coffee, Tea, Bath Towel, Bath Powder etc.)

Irelandnothing really
the room was spacious, bathroom as well. close enough to the station (10min walk). Also very easy to get to Nagoya Castle and the Science Museum. A bit far from Jingu Temple, but easy to get to as well (Meitetsu-Limited Express). Plenty of konbinis close by. Even though there's a few bars/pubs around, there wasn't too much noise. Internet was good as well.

United StatesThe hotel breakfast could have been a lot better. Also we made a reservation for five people to which they gave us two rooms with 1 double bed in each. When asked how are we supposed to fit a third person - they said that they expect parents to sleep with their, in our case 9yr old, child. Thankfully a larger room was available for an extra cost, which otherwise would have been an issue.
Good place to stay near JR station (5 min cab ride) in Nagoya. Lots of restaurants around.

AustraliaBeds not overly comfortable for our liking, location not as close to station as I would like, a bit of a pain to walk there with suitcases. Did not realise in same street as a brothel
In the reception area they had a number of amenities to take to your room for free, although I did not use any.

CanadaThe Internet was so slow that it was unuseable. When I informed the front desk they had lots of excuses, but no solutions. With the exceptional internet speeds in Japan, it's clear that this is an ongoing problem at the property that they aren't willing to invest in. Make sure you have your own mobile internet connection if you want to access the internet. They also charged us 1000 yen per day for the buffet for our son. This was not mentioned on the booking page at all. The choices at breakfast were good, but the quality was lacking. Eggs, bacon and sausage were undercooked every day. My Japanese wife asked the chef to cook an omelette so that it wasn't runny in the center and he went on to burn it. It was blackened and uneatable. Perhaps he was offended that a Japanese women tried to teach him to cook an omelette? The western items could be so much better if they were just cooked properly. Bread was often dried out. Salmon was overcooked. It would have been really nice to have some simple Japanese shokupan toast for breakfsst. However, there was a good selection of drinks and Japanese items.
The hotel and room were very clean. The bathroom was large and had a nice bathtub. The staff at reception and the breakfast were all great. It's less than a 15 minute walk to Nagoya station so the location was okay.
