Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeRoom was very small, mine was a double bed. (My friends in 2 single beds said their rooms were large). The aircon was blowing right in our faces and was rather uncomfortable. No bottled water in room. Breakfast was very simple
Room was clean. Location convenient and just opposite supermarket n some stores. Carpark available.

NetherlandsThe room wasn't that good with silencing outside noise. Every once in a while you could hear motorcycles pass. But my biggest issue was with the AC. It is aimed directly on your bed. So you have to be really carefuly with it as easily blasts you in the face with cold air.
Clean and relatively large room. The bathroom was rather spacious as well. The location, although outside of the city centre, was pretty good. Across the street there are several stores including a 24/7 supermarket that is much cheaper than any convenience store. Bento's can be bought there as well, and they are all freshly made.

JapanIt's a bit far away from the city center but we had a car and it was fine. Convenience stores are about a 5-10 minute walk away, but there's a shopping mall across the street.
The room was a reasonable size, as far as rooms in Japan go. The train station is close by, but the noise from the trains were not too bad. Check in and out was quick and easy. We did not hear noise from the other hotel guests during our stay. There is a smoking area outside by the hotel entrance, so our room did not smell like smoke.

United StatesOnly two clothes hangers. The breakfast is good but skimpy. No coffee in the room or the breakfast room.
1 min. walk from Nishi-Kumamoto station, and a 5 min. walk from huge MaxValu grocery store. There is a top sheet on the bed as well as comforter, so you can adjust the temperature better. A glowing clock and light controls at the bed. A public bath that is available from 3 pm. Nice soft bristles on the toothbrush. If you have a room on the street on a high floor, there is a nice view.

Israel📍 The hotel is located just outside Nishi-Kumamoto JR station, just one stop away from JR Kumamoto station, but there are not many trains to/from the station. Keep this in the account when planning your travels. There are some malls nearby the hotel, but I haven't noticed any convenience stores. 🚗 The hotel might however be very convenient for people arriving on cars as it located just near a road. Unfortunately it also meant that at one night there were unpleasant motorbike noises.
🏨 It was a short stay chosen as I was to travel from JR Kumamoto station. The hotel is nice, staff were good, and the price was great, but take the location in the account (as outlined in the negatives). 🚪 The room was good, good sized. There's a bathtub in the bathroom. The window in the room can be opened for ventilation. 🛜 Wi-fi worked well. 🍱 The breakfast was good, it's a Japanese breakfast with miso and rice available at a buffet. The breakfast ends at 9-30, but it's possible to begin breakfast at this time. ♨️ There is public bath and coin laundry at the hotel, but both I have not tried.

TaiwanConvenient location, quick check-in, comfortable beds, and a convenient breakfast. The accommodation is close to a convenience store, just a short drive away. We arrived after dinner, and the front desk staff efficiently assisted us with check-in and provided relevant information. The beds were of medium firmness, and the water pressure in the shower was relaxing. The breakfast the next day included a typical Japanese-style and simple Western-style breakfast with straightforward utensils, and the meals were delightful.

United StatesThe location is not the best. There aren’t any sights around at all; it’s basically the suburbs of Kumamoto. However, it’s only a minute away from the Nishi-Kumamoto train station and from there it’s a five minute train ride to Kumamoto station. The breakfast was a bit skimpy; the portions are pre-selected for you so if you wanted a lot of tamagoyaki, for example, you’re out of luck. Only two coat hangers in the room.
Excellent value for the money. Breakfast was included in the price. It was very quiet, which is always a plus for me. There was a nice big public bath on the second floor, and they open at 3:00pm. I went at 3:00 and had it all to myself. They had a top sheet on the bed as well as a comforter, which lets you adjust for temperature. If you only want your towels replaced and your trash emptied, you can set them outside the door and stay in your room undisturbed. There is a huge Aeon MaxValu supermarket a few minutes walk away.

SpainThe room was very small, which is normal for Japan, and there was very little possibility to hang clothes or horizontal places to put things.
This is a 5 year old hotel out of town but very near a train station which was easy to use to go into the city. They had free parking, laundry facilities, and very clean public baths. Their Japanese breakfast was good and good value. The beds were very comfortable. It felt like a very good budget hotel.
