Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaAlthough cleaning and room upkeep was good the bathroom facilities were poorly installed and the room smelled of mold - probably because of the poor installation issues i.e. sink was free hanging from the wall and didn't drain properly, the bath wasn't fixed or sealed properly and there was clear evidence of mold and dirt behind it.
General room size and configuration was great

AustraliaWe stayed four nights, having booked three rooms, and one of the rooms had two swipe cards and both swipe cards failed every single day and had to be reset at the front desk. That was annoying.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. When my husband left his wallet behind in a room safe the manager was very helpful in the arrangements to send it on to another city for us to collect.

CroatiaNo view (we kept the curtains drawn the whole time). Windows could not be opened at all.
Room was nice, however the spacious bathroom turned a lion’s share of it into a narrow passage, rendering comfortable opening of suitcases impossible. The bed was comfortable, location is outstanding. Staff was nice and helpful.

United StatesThis hotel was booked during a holiday when other hotels were full. While not luxurious it was perfectly adequate. This hotel is not close to any particular attraction but in between the Chinese quarter and the port.

Great location!! It's convenient to explore all the popular sites in Yokohama. Great value. Room size is bigger than other hotels in similar price range. we can open 2 medium size luggages in our room. The room has everything we need. Shower, air conditioning and bed are all good.

United StatesToilet behind of the lid had urine stain. Eco room service (no sheets and towels replacement) was confusing. We though by opting in, unless we call room service, won't come in. ...wrong! We saw our robes were folded nicely and trashes were emptied. We hanged a "don't disturb sign" at the door after that so that I didn't have to tidy up the room every morning. Often hotels provide facial toner, moisturizer, but none found at this hotel. Breakfast was pretty much the same all 4 mornings. Fresh pineapples were switched to kiwi. Also, they should have a dedicated line for prepaid guests (we had to wait for someone paying their meals in front of us and took a long time.)
Excellent location: easy access to Yamashita Park, museums, China town, metro, JR, bus, ship etc. Beds were comfortable, and room was clean enough (stain on the carpet,) spacious for Japan. Hot shower, enough water pressure. Good enough amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facial soap, hairbrush, toothbrush, slippers, robes etc. Yamato shipping service was great at the front desk.

DenmarkThe pictures depicted a sliiiightly older hotel room, but we were pleasantly surprised with the room condition. The location is a little bit troublesome if you have large suitcases and a cold (like we did), since the train is a 5 minute walk. For the price, this hotel seems to punch above its weight.
Great location within walking distance from Chinatown and the red brick warehouse. Room and lobby was clean, and the room felt spacious and fresh. Access was fine with a bus, but the train was also nearby.
