Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Location is very strategic and good and it's a really good hotel.

IsraelThe staff don't speak English or very little English but they have a translator so it's okay. The noise was a slight problem for me. After one night on a lower floor I asked the hotel's staff for a quieter room. This one was much better, but you can still hear some noise from the train even from the 12th floor on the street side of the building and also a little from the street noise as well. It's not so much That I had trouble sleeping though.
The hotel is right next to the station. It's not as major a station as some others but it's still very active at all hours. Each and every member of the hotel's staff were amazingly kind and considerate and really did whatever they could to make my stay comfortable. The Noge area is right across the street so there are many dining options. There are many amenities to choose from and the free coffee, teas and even hot chocolate at the lobby is an added bonus.

United KingdomThere’s no assistance with luggage or easy access to taxis if you need it e.g. heavy or lots of baggage. They will not call a cab, so you will to factor this in if you struggle with luggage. There’s about 8 International tv channels. Only one is in English, others e.g. CNN is overdubbed with Japanese. However, the feed kept freezing after a few minutes so it’s fair to say the system needs some attention
Great location, clean with pretty good facilities. The room was slightly bigger than typical Japanese business type hotels.

SingaporeThe upgraded room was well equipped and spacious for luggage space. The location is just next to JR Sakuragicho station@exit ..New South exit . However one may lost the direction when using the subway exit back to the hotel. Level B1 subway is closed at 730pm. Will highly recommend for both Solo traveller and family to try this hotel when visiting Yokohama.

New ZealandThe room is quite small so it didn't really have enough space for both of our two suit cases (1 big 1 small) to be opened at the same time.
I liked the thoughtful touches in the room, including a massager, welcome drinks, GABA chocolate etc. There's also an extensive amenities station at the lobby where guests can help themselves to things like face masks, bath salts, facial lotions and cleansing oils etc. The hotel looks very new and modern. The location is right across the road from the JR Sakuragi Station, which is very handy. There is another JR East Hotel by the Yokohama station so make sure that you'll going to the right one!

United KingdomThere’s a supermarket on the ground floor which is very convenient! However the front desk staff doesn’t explain that you could get 10% discount if you show your hotel room key card at the cashier. Very minimal communication at the front desk… They can be friendly but you (guest) has to ask if you want information… Free coffee in the hotel anytime or how to use laundry etc…
Fantastic location as it’s right next to JR Sakuragicho station and great access without getting wet! Only JPY500 for wash and dry clothes without needing to worry about the detergent! It takes 2 hours so you can go back to the room or have breakfast! Rotation of Eco cleaning x2 and full cleaning x1 worked out well and very convenient for choosing your own amenities like shampoo, conditioner, cleansing gel, face wash, lotion and cream from the reception! Really enjoyed using Japanese style of bathroom! You can wash yourself while filling up the tub and use onsen powder to make a nice relaxing spa for your own. Breakfast was a nice spread of Japanese and western style. I only wished they had hard boiled eggs instead of onsen eggs that is very runny yolk… Only thing I found lacking in the room was the closet… There’s a hangers directly on the wall. As a woman, I prefer to cover my clothes when cleaning staff coming… Pretty small room but ok for a small bag traveller.

SingaporeThe dinner menu served at the hotel restaurant is quite expensive and each dish cost a minimum of 1000 yen.
The hotel is located next to JR sakuragicho station and is walking distance to restaurant and convenience shop. The hotel staff provides very good service and is very attentive to our request. The breakfast served at this hotel had a wide variety of dishes and is quite tasty.

NetherlandsWindows were mostly foggy, despite using the airco. But honestly, this is the only criticism we had.
Very nicely located, and has a shop and a Starbucks within the hotel. - Coin washing machines available, and can be monitored on your room TV screen. - Extra amenities (bath salt, tea...) available on the 3rd floor, at the reception. - Easy (automated) checkin/checkout + welcoming staff. - Big bathtub and opaque curtains 👍

AustraliaThe room size is on par with other japanese hotels so it is tough if you have big suitcases.
The location is great, just outside of Sakuragicho station and a short walk to shopping centres and the Minatomirai area. It is about an hour to Shibuya on the minatomirai line so a much cheaper option to stay here and do day trips to tokyo. I was followed from Sakuragicho station by a strange nampa/stalker but I am glad the hotel was so close to the station and I was able to escape. The amenities in the hotel are really good, I really liked the little trays of bath salts and the free tea in the reception area. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful with forwarding my luggage to kyoto. Their english is limited but they have a translating device. I love the bath in the room. It was nice to be able to run a bath with bath salts in the evening.
