Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe couldn’t turn down the AC lower than 20C. We run hot blooded so it was a bit warm to our liking.
The best location! Right off the Sapporo Station stop, and a short walk to the entrance of the hotel. It was so easy and convenient to get to the station the next morning to catch our flight from CTS to HND. The staff were extra friendly and service was top notch. The breakfast was also very good. We opted for the western buffet (due to my husband) but they also had several Japanese options. There are several shopping malls at the lower levels that are all connected through the station which was really convenient to grab snacks and lunch and dinner. It was overall a very comfortable stay and had great views of the city.

AustraliaThere was no real milk for a cup of tea. But it didn't ruin my day. Every other detail made up for it!
Location was amazing. The view from our window was phenomenal. Every little detail was thought of. Especially for those of us who love al the little extras. Make up remover, face cleanser, dyson hairdryer, hair ties, body sponge, cotton tips, robes, slippers. There's too many to mention.

Staff were so polite, helpful and efficient. They were very welcoming despite the difference in culture and ethnicity. We felt so accepted. The hotel being within the same complex of the train station and shopping mall , made it very convenient for a family with kids

SingaporeRooms were comfortable but very small and doorway was so so narrow. It was very difficult getting in and out with big jackets and luggage. Staff who checked us in spoke fluent English which was great but lacked warmth and that personal touch especially given it was Xmas and we arrived late at night with kids. Very transactional approach and no smile
Location is unbeatable. Connected to the JR Sapporo station and surrounded by shops and food options. Perfect for families traveling with kids and luggage late at night so you don't need to drag it through the snow outside.

AustraliaThe views over Sapporo are stunning from every room in this hotel, whether it be from the bar, the breakfast lounge or indeed the bedrooms. Staff were exceptional - nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to remember our interests and plans, adding a personal touch to the service. As we were staying for several nights we opted to have the traditional Japanese breakfast, served in the Sky Restaurant, for one of our breakfasts. Staff were attentive in explaining every aspect of the meal and how the food was prepared. The location of the hotel in the tower over the station suited our transport plans in being conveniently close to both train and the hire car office that we used.

ChinaReception on check in was unclear we should have breakfast included for 2 adults and 1 child, he asked us to pay for the kid’s breakfast, after showing the reservation confirmation, he reluctantly to give the child breakfast for free, but he mentioned what we can only go to buffet restaurant for breakfast, as child’s breakfast is a bit cheap than adult in Japanese restaurant! So cheap for a 5 star hotel and we have been staying every year here! No repeated guests’ benefits nor at welcoming, not pay attention to that we have child’s birthday during the stay, we have to ask, and then they give a toy bear from hotel. No wow at all. Service so so for a 5 star hotel, seems the Japanese staffs only are polite to foreign guests or Japanese guests!
Still top 1 hotel for me in Sapporo, maybe the only one without walking outside in the heavy snow, and it has Onsen.
