No sound proofing at all (as described) and only one shower. Probably fine if other guests are considerate, but not when people get in at 3.00am and hang out talking in their room.

Futon was a little bit thin and I found it uncomfortable. However, I may not be used to it as a westerner. Room was really cold but was equiped with an air conditioner. No windows in the room so no fresh airflow. I also didn't see any staff for the 3 days I was there, although not a problem for me, it may be for some other travellers.

Private room, very affordable price. Location was really great. Self service check in. Easy to understand directions to get to the hotel. Quiet place to stay with not many rooms on the floor. Nice and clean. There were some flyers and pamphlets of what to do around Koenji which is a great part of Tokyo.

The walls were quite thin, so I was able to hear (but not discern) the talking and packing of the guests in neighbouring rooms. Although this was mentioned in the email, it was not particularly pleasant to experience in the morning. As a foreigner, it would also have helped to know in advance that the door is a sliding door, as I initially experienced trouble trying to push it open!

I like that the location was close to Koenji station, in a safe area. I appreciated the clear communication and instructions given by the staff and the Hotel Rules & Information sheet. I also liked the cleanliness of the shower and bathroom, and was grateful for the air-con as a heater in the middle of winter.

It’s very comfortable, in the heart of koenji so there’s always something to do. The bathroom and the shower are very clean, and so was my room. The shower and toilets were high quality.

There were 2 intercoms which I found confusing. The owner/reception staff were not at reception so I found it difficult yo understand how to check in.

It was clean throughout and there wasn't a lot of guests as far as I could tell so there was no noise from the other rooms.

The sliding doors for each room are really thin and there are gaps around the door, meaning that you can hear basically everything outside the room. This was a bit tricky for me because I'm a light sleeper, but others might have an easier time.

Koenji is a very nice neighborhood and at koenji station you have many train to go to the center. the room is small but it's still confortable and cheap for the location. There's no common space but a kettle (with coffee-tea) and a microwave are on the first floor

Extremely simple but comfortable stay in the hip Koenji neighbourhood. Room was small but offered what it promised. Common facilities were clean and in great condition. Checking in and out was easy even if we never physically met the staff.

Everything was so easy! The place was easy to find, with great communication from the host. Everything was clean and well-run. We loved the Koenji neighborhood as well, and the short walk to the metro.

This is basically an improved version of a capsule hotel. The rooms are very very small and can barely fit 2 people. The walls are paper thin so you can hear every noise from the neighbouring rooms.
