Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

CanadaThe property was clean and comfortable, although the room was very small, but that is par for the course in Japan. Location was great - close to public transit and surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores but best of all located in the traditional geisha district.

FranceVery good location in the center of Gion district with many restaurants around and near some of the tourists spots and the shopping streets (Kawaramachi, Teramachi…). Also close to bus stops (including the one that goes to Kinkakuji) and subway station (Keihan Line, Tozai Line and Hankyu Line on the other side of the bridge) A good room with a touch of traditional style, not that big but well organized and clean with very good coffee and other hotel necessities (including a skincare set).

In a great location, walking distance to gion-shijo station and despite being close to busy areas, bars and restaurants it was very quiet. Staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. The room had great aesthetics and was peaceful. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept on in Japan.

The location is close to all the excitement and tradition of Gion but quiet. The laundry room is a good addition a few automatic, detergent dispersing, washer dryers 4x 100y coins. The room was well laid out and well equipped, The size is reasonable once you have adjusted to Japanese room dimensions! Met all needs and felt safe. A Lawsons almost next door with helpful staff.

JapanI have never slept in such a hard, uncomfortable bed in my life. Even the younger people in my traveling party complained of backache and discomfort. Also, as is often the case in Japan cities, the room was a tight squeezxe.
Location, location, location!!! Perfect, central spot for everyting in Gion and transportation. The cleanliness of the room was also perfect. Having a convenience store right next door, a train station a short walk away, and a coffee shop on the corner was very convenient.

It kinda worked but wasn’t a deal breaker because the staff were so wonderful and accommodating. It would be 10/10 if the smell wasn’t in the room. But we would stay again!

CanadaNot a lot of washing machines available and they are dual with dryers, so it didn't completely dry our clothes.
Really liked the style of the room, it was a bit modern mixed with Japanese heritage, such as the 'bedroom' part of the room was elevated and had tatami like flooring. Also liked that the toilet and bath was separate. The bathroom also had a 'dryer' setting, so after washing our clothes in the laundry, we hung our clothes in the bathroom for a fuller dry.
