The dorms are a bit cramped. The location is right next to a busy bridge/road so a bit noisy especially during the day.

Friendly, helpful owner and staff, ready with tips on where to eat and what to see. Free tea and coffee. Clean. Good location within walking distance to sites eating and other amenities.

The view on the river was really good, and the place is calm but near the city center. The people were nice and there is a kitchen where you can cook if needed (plus all the extra !). Fukuoka is great !

There's no lift but they state that. They were very nice and helped me with my luggage at least! There's also no laundry, but they also tell you where the closest coin laundry is. Otherwise everything is tip top, I recommend it here a lot!

First of all, very convenient location! But in my mind Fukuoka is one of the most walkable cities so anywhere within the centre is convenient. This place was around 10min walk to Canal City, 30mins walk from Maizuru Park and 35mins walk to LalaPort. You can get a tourist bus pass if you'd rather that but I didn't bother and walked the entire city. The hostel itself has little posters in the living room for tourism, places to eat, where to go for things to do, etc - you can always ask staff (the owner and some of the workers are fluent in English and Chinese!) for advice as they're very knowledgeable on the city. I travelled by plane and took the JR to Watanabe-dori and it was about a 10min (flat) walk with my heavy suitcase, it was quicker to walk without all my stuff the next day lol. I then took the bus from Tenjin station when I left and this took about 20mins with all my stuff, again a flat walk. The staff were all lovely! On my last night we had a little impromptu get-together which was a nice way to end my time in Fukuoka and also giving me ideas on what to do on my next destination! Super friendly staff, worth chatting to them if you both have time! The bed was nice and comfy with convenient plugs and LED light to not disturb your other roommates. We were under the mercy of figuring out the AC but we got there eventually for it to be a good temperature... They clean the rooms and facilities each morning so it always feels clean. Also you can access the living room 24hrs which is nice for me as I'm a bit of a night owl and there's no real desk in the rooms so I like to spend my late evenings in the living room. The free tea was nice as well :)

I got the bed close to the scratched roof and it didn't feel too nice to have loose pieces of insulating materials above my head. Also there are only two toilet and showes for tje whole guest house which I thought its quite little. Finally, I don't know why accomodation prices in Fukuoka are so high - I thought value for price was quite low especially considering some very modern and very cheap capsule hotels you can get in places like Kyoto.

I had a super comfortable mattress, and the vibe of the hostel is very welcoming and homely! In terms of hostel stay it was nice and I would recommend it.

The windows are not sound proof and at night you can hear every word people talk about on the street! You don't hear the traffic as that is not passing the hostel front.

Shared bathroom facilities were clean enough but could have been cleaner. Definitely not a social place to meet people, no one really spoke to each other.

It's not a big deal, but we could really hear street noises.

Great little guesthouse very close to the train station. Good size room, comfy bed, working Wifi, shared bathroom spic & span, left luggage service. Very friendly and helpful staff. What more would you want? I loved my stay here. Highly recommended!
