A clean and comfortable place for a family that is very close to the centre of Takayama and close walking distance to main attractions. The kitchen was well fitted out. Great communication with the property manager.

The full kitchen provided everything i needed to cook for my family of 4. The courtyard has some snow left & is a good place for my 6yo play while I can watch him from inside the house. The artificial onsen was the highlight of the stay, i used it 2x 😁 thank you Manabi stay for the lovely stay.

Manabi stay was very comfortable with abundant space for our family of 4. The kitchen was well equipped for simple meal prep. It was a short walk to most sites and restaurants. We loved the idea of having a large bath tub at the property but unfortunately it was too cold to use as it was located outside. It was the best stay of our whole Japan trip. We highly recommend Manabi if you are visiting Talayama.

We love Manabi Takayama house, this very traditional house with full facility and big space with 2 slot of parking (this is bonus). The price was reasonalble. We very enjoy to stay here and will back to stay again

It was not your fault , it was my mistake as we thought it was on the main rd and tried to enter your other Manabi stay. We did find it of course.

The doll display in the beautiful tatami room, whilst beautiful, looked incredibly fragile and I was worried my little ones would accidentally knock them over! Thankfully they didn’t but I could see it happening! Might be better to have them displayed somewhere higher to be admired.

Amazing location to base yourself in to explore Takayama. Really quiet too. We loved staying in this old style house with modern facilities. It was warm and felt like home away from home. We enjoyed being able to cook in the kitchen (it had everything we needed) and the outdoor bath was lovely (so warm!). Access was no issue too. Our family loved staying here

Probably the best house we stayed in in Japan so far, truly comfortable and spacious for Japanese standards. Beautiful kitchen that feels more like an actual cafe, spacious living room, 2 toilets, separate bedrooms upstairs. Perfectly decorated, definitely recommend in Takayama as it's also super central

It was a traditional Japanese house that’s been renovated. Very clean and comfortable, with adequate heating. Located about 8-10 mins walking distance from the train station and 5 mins from the old town.

We understood that it is located in residential neighbourhood that we need to keep quiet while staying, while in a way that you might not be able to really enjoy your holiday at will in a way... we had young kids and they did made a bit noisy then we kind of heard neighbour wall's banging sound... bedroom is one the second floor, one room is in traditional tatami style with traditional Japanese dolls display which my Husband found it creepy (well, this is upto different person's perception). Then we were reminded to take off the bedsheets and linen and pillowcase, fold them and leave them at the entrance; to wash dishes and put them back to original place afterwards; then definitely trash sorting before leaving..... after all these, I don't feel we are staying for holiday.... But follow the rules is the rule in Japan.

Quiet local residential neighbourhood. Spacious house with huge seperated kitchen area. Semi-outdoor hot bath with little garden view. Cozy living room in Japanese heated quilted table. Parking right in front of doorstep.

There were figurines placed near the sleeping area for display/ sales. Unfortunately, as we were with kids, we were constantly concerned that the kids would damage them.

It was a 2-storey landed house and equipped with kitchen. It was also near the main street which was walkable.

I’m not sure how long construction next door will be as they seemed to put up a whole frame and partial roof in the 2 days we were there. It worked out for us because we were up before 7:30 when construction started and didn’t have day naps. The pillows were very flat and we didn’t have access to more than one pillow per person. Not a big drama.

A beautiful large traditional house with all the amenities. We especially loved the red bath, having access to Netflix and the washing machine. The house is in the best location and easy to get to from the train station.
