Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The duvet was very short so either my feet were sticking out or it didn’t cover me. The female dorm can get really busy and with so many comings and goings, and snoring neighbors, the curtain separations between beds is not very soundproof. I prefer smaller dorms with fewer people than big 20-30 person dorms.
The hostel and staff are nice and the facilities are new and clean and stylish. Location was within walking distance to Peace Memorial and other sites, but you need to take a bus/tram from the train station. There is a convenience store right around the corner. The dorm beds themselves were fairly spacious.

Super friendly and nice staffs. Thanks to chance my booking day without any charge! Room is good and has everything for people stay short or long time. Easy to connect with peoples from over the world! The Places is quite center and near from the historical places in hiroshima.

Beds were particularly uncomfortable.
Really nicely done up modern hostel, with excellent common space and friendly English-speaking staff. Well located for Hiroshima Peace Park, and riverside walks.

I found it very comfortable, and clean! The location was great too, there’s an amazing okonomiyaki place 5 min north, and it’s walking distance to Peace Park, which I recommend visiting at night! Tram stops and buses nearby.

Compared to Hostels in Japan i wouldn't call it clean, but nothing too bad.
Chill environment, great staff and really close to Dotonbori.

The free Wi-Fi in the rooms and throughout the hotel ensured I could stay connected without any issues. The on-site restaurant provided a delicious array of dishes, offering a variety of options for different tastes.

The literal only nit picky thing was instead of it being a pod sort of bed it was seperated from the other person by a thick curtain. No light got through and it was private but personally I prefer the wall.
The staff were so lovely, super welcoming. The accommodation was lovely and clean, location was fantastic- would definitely stay again!

Shower room is located in a different floor just beside the mixed dormitory room. If the door is open you can see everyone inside
Location was very good. All the main attractions were in walking distance and there is an electric railway station nearby. Staff were very friendly and really nice.

the pillows and the mattress were not the greatest. the pillow is like a beanbag chair material and the mattress is very thin.
the staff were amazing and very helpful. it’s a very central location as the tram runs just around the corner. everything is within walking distance.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, there were all the amenities you can think of for sleeping in a dorm which is great because I forgot to take earplugs ! The location is very nice, easy to reach from the station and a lot of spots at walkable distance

Very nice location, close to peace park and castle, 15-20 minute walk to shopping street, but far enough away that it's a nice and quiet area. Comfortable facilities and nice bed. Aircondition was also very good, and always felt the toilets were clean. The people working there were great.The trams also go from right around the corner.

It's probably just a personal thing, but the mattress was a bit thin and pillow a bit thick for my liking. Still managed a decent night's sleep though.

Nothing to complain about, maybe the location (a bit far from Hiroshima station) but it’s actually good location to visit the Peace Memorial park and the other memorials by walk
Very clean, really appreciated. We are given new towels every day and the instructions are perfectly clearn, especially for foreigners. The lift was appreciated haha

Bed were a little hard and uncomfortable. Same goes for the pillows. Would like a bigger one, or have two. It was like a bean sack. Not great.
The staff was amazing! Forgot something at the hostel and Kana who worked there went though her way to send it via post to the next place I was staying! 10/10 It’s also a great spot in Hiroshima, close to everything!
