Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanThere were no windows in the downstairs room except for the door leading to the onsen. There was a shading film on the upstairs room windows so no natural light. As other reviewers have mentioned, it felt a bit like a love hotel but beds were comfortable and we did see other families staying there. No natural light in the hotel made it feel like a love hotel. Maybe change some of the solid doors to the parking spaces with doors that have windows and let some light in unless complete privacy/anonymity is the goal.
Both Japanese and Western-style breakfasts were good. Would have been nice if there was a little variety in the western-style breakfast from day to day. Location was a convenient drive to Nagashima SpaLand - you definitely need a car to stay here for restaurants, etc. Our room’s onsen was great to soak in at the end of each day. Staff were always helpful even though we couldn’t speak Japanese.

AustraliaOnly challenge about reaching the hotel is that is a little out of the way in terms of downtown Nagoya. When travelling with a large luggage a taxi was the most suitable but also a very expensive option. Not a negative on the hotel itself but rather a word of warning for other travellers.
Incredibly spacious room, fantastic service from staff who though had limited english were comfortable with using google translate. The in room onsen was amazing and was worth every $ paid to stay.

AustraliaWe arrived in late night, the front door was difficult to find as we drove passed a few times. Luckily we finally guessed right and could be able to open the front door which looked very like an industrial back gate. Then we walked passed a long aisle and reached the reception.
Very comfortable stay with private onsen in-room, in-room breakfast was great; kids got cutie bags which they loved so much. Very clean and spacious.

SwedenBreakfast: Cons: The breakfast menu remains the same for all three days. It would be better if there were daily variations in both the Japanese and Western options. Room: Minor downsides: There were quite a few steps inside the room. Also, there was no sink in the toilet, so after using the restroom, you had to open three doors to reach the bathroom to wash your hands. This meant passing through the entrance area and the ganbanyoku space. Each door had a step, so elderly guests should be extra careful.
Breakfast There are two breakfast options: Japanese-style and Western-style. You need to choose your preference the night before and select a delivery time. The food will then be placed at your door the next morning. Pros: The breakfast is delicious and beautifully presented. Room Initially, we were worried that the room had no windows since none were shown in the photos. However, there was actually a window, which could be uncovered by sliding a wooden panel, allowing natural light in. The room was very comfortable, beautifully designed, and had a spacious feel. We stayed for three nights. According to the hotel policy, cleaning is only done on the third day, while on the second day, fresh towels are provided. This was fine for us as we didn’t need daily cleaning. We stayed in a room with a ganbanyoku (hot stone bath), which was very relaxing. There was also a TV inside. Food You can order food through the TV in the room. We ordered dinner every night because the food was truly delicious and had great value for money. All meals come with room service, which is available 24 hours a day. Most items on the menu are also available late at night.

United StatesThere's absolutely nothing outside to do or walk around. Only 1 Family Mart within 3 mins walk. Everything is far and we need to catch a cab to go places which is fine. We were about 10 to 15mins drive to Spaland and outlet.
The room was amazing and beautiful. Onsen was the main reason why I booked this place. Their in room food service was so delicious and free in room breakfast was just as amazing. Customer service was so nice and courteous. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a private onsen with your family.

Hong KongQuite a few - love hotel set up but deliberately omitted in description - very poor food quality - staff spoke very little English - very inconsiderate staff; they visited our room at 11pm to ask about time for cleaning in the following day. We had young kids woken up from early sleep - on-sen temperature below standard. The water temperature was capped at 45/46C. Way below satisfactory level -
Rooms are large in size
