Only the cost of the accommodation. It would’ve been great if it had been more reasonable.

Very friendly staffs, best location, amazing facilities, atmosphere, unique experience to stay in the middle of historical district.

Stairs a bit tricky but we got used to them.

This place is very nice. More like a little apartment than a room at an inn. There’s only one guest room in this inn but it is made up of a large bedroom, a large lounge room area overlooking the historic street, a small landing area at the top of the stairs and a wash basin room all upstairs. Downstairs is the toilet, bathroom and Japanese tub/wash room. Stairs are a bit tricky if you are tall so watch your head. Architecture is very traditional and beautifully done. Place is nicely appointed in minamalist style with local craft furniture and small items. Very quiet and in great location. Staff were very helpful with perfect English.

Very nice place in the heart of Kurashiki. The room is very pretty and comfortable. The toilet and bathing area are down stairs, which was completely fine for us, but maybe something to keep in mind. The staff was also very kind and helpful.

    Nothing! We loved it.

We actually changed and stayed in a two bedroom property also owned by Temari Inn called Madaromi, also located in Kurashiki Biken Historical district. Junko, the owner, was absolutely wonderful, welcoming us and showing us the apartment and telling us about Kurashiki. The apartment is gorgeous, clean, and very well appointed. It is newly renovated and so comfortable. The location is wonderful, in the historic quarter with easy access to fantastic restaurants, galleries, shrines, the river, and cute shops. It has a kitchen, and we were able to make breakfast. Junko recommended a fabulous yakitori restaurant nearby for dinner. The historic town of Kurashiki is definitely worth a visit, with beautifully preserved architecture of the Edo period surrounding a picturesque river. Our stay here was a highlight of our holiday. Thank you so much, Junko!

The bathroom is separate from the room and is very cold, so taking a shower is not very comfortable during the winter.

Has a great view of the street! The hair care products were amazing and my sister would love to know them. The real selling point on this beautiful traditional townhome is the private iron bath that retains heat and smells in a way that can not be easily described. A rare and unique experience coupled with a very cute/caring staff (thank you hideyo!) that was very accommodating and patient with us

Temari Yukikai is an absolute gem. Our own little Japanese inn for two nights. You will be treated to an amazing experience with the kindest hosts and very thoughtful touches each day. From a welcome drink and treat, to sleeping kimono to use, to afternoon drinks and treats. They even made reservations for us at a head spa and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Stay was too short !!

Excellent host, jolly, helpful and warm-hearted, truly a delight to meet! Our host spent about 15min translating Kuroshiki's map from Japanese to English, depending on our wishes about touring the city. We were gifted the house' special peach syrup at our arrival, in addition to having a lovely coffee stand in the room. Their were plenty of other attentions provided to customers : we arrived in winter, and were provided wool coat to fight the cold. The bathroom was heated before we stepped foot in it. And the host helped keep our luggage a whole afternoon after our checking out. Thank you so much for hosting us !

Could have added a longer piece of fabric/curtain at the main entrance to enhance the sense of security.

Very cute and warm guest house in the centre of the historical area. The host is very nice and speaks excellent English. Excellent communication even in the pre-arrival period. Had amenities and free water, tea and coffee. The welcome drink was very sweet and heart warming. Not staffed after the night but generally it was secured.

The bathroom facilities were downstairs, we didn't feel intruded though it was a semi public space in the day. However the only problem would be if you want to go to the bathroom at night - you will need to go downstairs.

Excellent service from Junko and her team. Loved the entire experience and facilities, super comfortable bed and beautiful guesthouse. Bonus: try the food at the restaurant below the guesthouse, service and food was excellent!
