The walls were a bit thin.I could hear ppl talking next door and they were not loud.By Japanese standards there were no smart toilet,kettle or a fridge,tv in the room but i knew what i was booking so it was still a nice experience.

Great location, the beds were so comfortable and property was very clean. Nice common area and kitchen. The soundproofing here was amazing, you couldn’t hear anything outside the room which made for a very peaceful sleep.

We were 100% satisfied with the Nara Deer Hostel. Very good money for this level of accommodstion. Close to both the railway station 5-10 mins, 7 mins to 7/11, nice neighbourhood with old japanese houses. 15 mins to Tourist info and starting point to all the atractive locations. Couldn’t ask for more. Rooms are small, BUT you have cozy shared living room with 2 tables and couch and of course, fully equipped kitchen. Btw we loved the japanese wibe of the place. Self-check in etc. Definitely recommend.

Not dislike, but motion detective lights for 4 people dorms. I feel it bothers others sleep.

When I arrived they weren’t expecting me even though I had booked a week in advance. Not really very communicative upon arrival. Bathrooms are incredibly tiny and not very clean. The other people in my room were really noisy late at night (using hair dryer in the room at almost midnight) and early in the morning which suprised me a little bit even though I’ve stayed at many hostels. Still it was a cheap stay so price/quality wise it was fine. If you really want to visit Nara though, I’d recommend you go there on a daytrip.

It was a super affordable hostel, on walking distance of the park and station. The bed was comfortable and common area was okay.

The young receptionist had 0 social skills. He was rude to me and had such a bad vibe. If you dont wanna work there just find another job :)

The kitchen is very small, with limited kitchen ware. The garbage bins should be emptied more, they were many times overflowing.

The light in the room is turned on by sensors, so everytime someone goes in or out the room the light turns on by itself, also at night. The light in the communal area is turned off after 12am. The bathrooms are rather small

Very nicely designed hostel not too far from Nara station, so easy to walk there. It was also not hard to meet other travellers since they have a communal area and kitchen. Check in was easy too and it was really good value for money.

Great location! Very convenient! You can do laundry and use kitchen, they have detergent and everything basic for use. Check in and out contactless. Clean, Relaxing environment. The toilet and bath was really nice too! Had a great stay and proper rest overall! Super close to the JR station as well.

The place needs a bit more attention to cleaning. The bed linens and towels aren't of good quality, what makes them feel a little filthy…It's better not to look under the beds. It's a shame because, aside from that, the place is really nice. Also, they could turn on the air conditioning for guests arriving during a heatwave. It's not a very modern unit and took all night to bring the temperature below 26°C.

Nice place, well-decorated with a lovely kitchen and a beautiful small patio. The location is great, not too far from Deer Park and all the tourist attractions.

AC in our room couldn't keep up (36C outside, our room never got below 25C), kitchen tiny and mostly "staff only" cabinets.
