We had a comfortable stay. The kids were fascinated by the japanese style sleeping arrangements. We enjoyed the views and sounds of the town streets from the rooms. We were originally concerned due to some of the reviews about accessing the different levels. But we did not face any issues going between the levels. It was a great experience living in a traditional Japanese style house with modern amenities. The location is very central with easy access to the train station, shops and restaurants. We were originally planning to leave early in the morning but decided to spend a bit more time to enjoy the house. One minor gripe: It would be nice if we could leave our luggage a bit earlier. We had to take our bags back to the station and leave it at the coin locker. It is understandable since there was noone to guarantee the safety of our belongings, but it was a bit inconvenient.

It was in a fabulous position, however there have been at least one more seat for 4 people, and having to take our temperature when we arrived and telling us not to stay if we did have a temperature was not a welcoming start.

Cooking wares were a bit old. All the nonstick pans were scratched. Too much housekeeping work! We were asked to collect the garbage and all sheets and bring downstairs to the entrance area.

This is a 4 room apartment. Each room is on each floor. Not suitable with old people or those with big luggages as need to carry the luggage up to 2nd floor where the bedrooms are.. 3rd floor is the TV area and kitchen. Nice apartment and convenient located near the old Takayama.

This accommodation did not suit our group. There are a lot of internal stairs which are uncomfortable to climb. Each level has a heavy, metal door closing it off from the staircase. The bedrooms are really just one room on the first floor, partitioned off with sliding doors. This arrangement didn't work well for our group. The shower and kitchen are above the bedrooms on another level which made getting ready difficult.

The location is great and the place is clean.

Not a complain, but house has 4 levels. If anyone does not want to go and up and down stairs, this house is not for them.

House had enough space for 7 of us and close to all the resturants. House is at unique Takayama location where visitors can experience Japanese old days. Visitirs can experience great food and see many natural wonders in the surrounding area.

We believed we had booked a four bedroom house for 4 people but on arrival we were surprised to find 4 tatami beds made up in one room next to each other. I queried this with the managers and was told that we could only use 1 room as we were 4 people. They sent a photo from the booking.com gallery, number 34 of 37 where they had written the bed arrangements according to the number of people across the photo. I insisted that it was not acceptable for two couples to sleep next to each other in the same room. I could have saved my money and booked a dorm in a hostel to all sleep in the same room. Eventually they agreed to make up two more beds on the top floor. The house is arranged over 3 floors but clearly they don't want you to use more than one bedroom and the kitchen area. The rest of the house was bare. They need to make it clear on booking.com that they restrict the space you can use depending on the size of your group. You can not advertise a 4 bedroom house and only allow people to use 1 room. Very misleading and stressful.

one window shield is broken in living room, one windows has water leaking in bedroom level. There are 3 levels in the house, but it looks like it is not same house. It looks like 3 different house in 3 levels.
