Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe number of showers in the women’s bathroom was very few and locker size for both men and women was very tiny. Also, the steps’ gaps, to go to the top bunker, was huge, so it was difficult to climb up and down. The capsules could have been better sealed/ soundproofed better
Liked the location since it was 5 minutes walking from station. It was very clean in the mornings (bathrooms and showers), as long as you got their early. Cleanliness could be seen in capsules too. Friendly , helpful staff was their 24/7. They gave fresh towels, brushes and lounge wear everyday.

United StatesIt wasn’t as clean as I thought it would be, I had to use a wet wipe to clean something off of the pod I was assigned, likewise, there were a lot of spots on the bathroom walls that made it look dirty. The person in the pod above me came in late with their luggage and was very loud and left early in the morning, she didn’t even try to be quiet. I wish the front desk would give you ear plugs when they hand out the slippers.
The location of this property is good, and has a very nice view of Tokyo tower from the communal floor, and the rooftop deck. The front desk made an effort to get us checked in once they realized we had been waiting a long time.

TurkeyThe pillows are too rough, and the storage cabins are way smaller than Ningyocho.
The trains are close and you can go anywhere easily. They clean everywhere, everyday. Great staff. Good wiew of Tokyo Tower and quite close to it as well. For beds, they're not small, and they have a charging point in them.

United Arab EmiratesEach floor should have their own bathrooms and lockers. Some floors need to get to the other level just to put their things. I'm lucky that my bed is in the same floor as the lockers.
The location is good near Tokyo metro and JR metro. PJs are provided and towels and amenities as well. The lounge view is perfect.

United StatesThe shower room being on a different level from the pods definitely makes you get your life/bag organized. My floor (3) had toilets on the same level as the pod for night time convenience. Not sure if they all do, but that was really nice. The beds are hard and the pillows were terrible (I ended up using no pillow or clothes), but the pod had a great cozy vibe/feel. It was a cool experience.
GREAT location, everything was clean, and the pods were very quiet and felt so private. All the guests were very respectful. It all around had a good vibe. Perfect for a couple nights or a pass through spot. Public transportation was only a couple blocks away.

JapanThe elevator system bothered me as there were two elevators, but it was split between genders. This means you have long waiting times, as there are 10 floors in total. Rather bothersome when you're in the lounge (10F), but forgot to bring a charger from your locker (2F). I suppose this is a calculated sacrifice for women's sense of security, but to me it was a bit annoying.
The shower facilities exceeded expectations, with a rain-type showerhead.

United StatesThis is my first time doing a capsule hotel so take this with a grain of salt, but I really understand now that this shouldn't be done for more than one night in a row. I slept anyways. The beds did not have enough padding to prevent my tailbone from hitting the floor of the capsule, and I wish normal pillows were used instead of the weird contoured ones they have. The shower/locker facilitiesbeing on the lower floors made it chore to get to once one factors how congested the elevators can get. I felt this was woefully inefficient, but I'm not sure if there was a better way to build this given space constraints. Letting everyone use the stairs might've helped here (though I suspect local building codes may not allow this)
The shared shower facilities are actually big enough and fully separated by walls. Lounge space had plenty of plugs to charge electronic devices. Location is excellent, you can hop on the Asakusa/Keikyu line to Haneda or Narita (this is a one-seat express ride if you board the correct train)
