Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TaiwanI've lived in the 9h in Nagoya before and this Sendai one is much smaller in comparison. There is no lounge but only a small bench in front of the entrance of the men's space.
The place was clean. The bed, the bathrooms, and the shower rooms were all clean and tidy. The location was also nice considering it is close to a subway station and a big shopping street.

JapanThe only thing I didn’t like was that since they clean the place from 10 AM to 2 PM even if you’re staying multiple days you have to leave your room during that time. Therefore if you are the type of person who wants to relax in your room during the day you won’t be able to do that. Also there is no space to hang out or talk to people so if that’s your intention that it’s not for you.
It was an interesting concept and I felt like I was in a futuristic city which was nice. I enjoyed the space and I was amazed by the cleanliness. Since I went during off-season there weren’t a lot of people staying so I had a very spacious and comfortable stay. Most of the pods were empty. Therefore I didn’t have to wait to use the shower or any of the facilities. When arriving you are greeted by the staff at the front desk and they will explain everything to you. You will get your locker key and room key with a number on it. The number is for your pod and for your locker. they provide room wear/pajamas so you can use those as well. They also provide slippers and towels and basic amenities. Everything is very organized and I would stay again because the location is pretty nice as well.

United StatesIt was a bit difficult to organize luggage in the small locker space with so many people close together. Some of the staff members weren't as friendly as others. The heat was turned on very high throughout the entire stay, so we woke up like shriveled raisons.
The capsules were very comfortable. There were ample toilets and showers, so we did not have to wait too long to use the facilities. The 24-hour access made the capsule hotel very convenient. The location was close to many forms of public transport and easy to reach on foot.

ItalyNo guest room to work with pc and to eat.
This capsule hotel is really good choice for budget accomodation. It is 15-20 minutes walk from the main train station and 5 minutes walk from one of the main shopping street, with restaurants, combini, shops. The capsule bed itself is clean, modern-stylish, but very basic. It has only one socket and light. The showers are clean and the hotel gives you a bag with towels and pigiama. Unfortunately this capsule hotel do not have bathroom, nor sauna, but, what is missing more, a room for guest to relax, work and eat.

SingaporeThis is my 2nd time stay since 2022. During 1st stay, I took about 20mins walk from JR Sendai Station. This times round, I walk back hostel, while shopping along the shopping street (all under shelter). However, i learn to take public bus, at the bus stop just 3mins away from the hostel, to JR Sendai Station (can pay by IC card). There are few bus services heading the station, just need to reconfirm the bus showed heading to Sendai Station

United KingdomPods quite small for tall guys, but doable. Mattress not very thick. When you close the pod door it gets very hot and stuffy, maybe aircon didn't work. Not much interaction with staff, very transactional.
Very clean, very stylish, very quiet. Comes with amenities bag. Good for people who don't want to interact with others.

JapanThe bed itself was comfortable enough (despite the mattress having become slightly "U-shaped" due to repeated use), but the pillows were not good. I understand the need to low-cost hotels to use inexpensive materials for pillows (the typical hard, almost sandbag-like texture). However, the pillow was completely indented in the middle, and due to the firmness made it hard to comfortably position your neck. Also, while this is no fault of the hotel staff, several guests did not obey the "slippers only, no shoes" rule for inside the capsule area. This meant getting woken up on several occasions throughout the evening by guests loudly walking down the otherwise completely quiet room.
It is a capsule hotel, so naturally you get everything you would expect: efficiency, cleanliness, and low cost. The hotel was also in a bustling area, which was great for going out at night (though it is about a 15-minute walk from Sendai station). Most guests were also very considerate, which resulted in a mostly very quiet environment in the capsule area (see next part for a caveat). The back-and-forth you need to constantly do between your capsule and your locker is not ideal, but is par for the course for a capsule hotel and something you get used to the more you stay in such places.
