Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Japanyou can hear what other people are doing in the other parts of the hotel when you are in the capsules so it wouldn’t be good for light sleepers and the pillow is hard
very clean, has pyjamas, great location and price, the hotel was divided into sections which was easy to navigate

JapanThe capsule was too hot. I didn't sleep comfortably because of how hot it was inside.
The check in process was smooth and the lockers to keep your things were a great size. The shower/bathroom area was clean and convenient.

United KingdomThe pillow is not very comfortable, The bed squeaked a lot and it got quite hot inside the capsule. None of these matter that much though.
Wonderfully clean, super cheap, practical fantastic hotel. The shower and toilet facilities are among the best of any capsule hotel I’ve visited.

TaiwanIt's not convenient for the guests who stay for multiple nights, as the guest has to check out before 10:00AM and check in again after 2:00PM. Would suggest providing options for guests to choose: 1. Check-out if the service of changing bedsheet and linen is required. 2. No need to check-out if the service of changing bedsheet and linen is NOT required.

United StatesThe beds were uncomfortable, it felt like you were sleeping on plywood boards. The amount of noise was unbearable, each hall has several people in a capsule. The concept was to check-in and check-out each day with access to a locker. Essentially you are paying for 17 hours each day. To be fair, I stayed much longer than one should at a capsule. There was no common space or room to use the functionality of WiFi. There was no water or microwave. It was an experience but great idea for a layover.
The feature I enjoyed the most was crawling into a clean bed every night with clean gowns.

AustraliaThe sleeping pod, toliet & shower and locker are in the same level and divided by the non-soundproof door. You can see other travellers from the gap of the pod. Terrible ventilation, full of BBQ smells from the downstairs restaurant. Not close to any public transport. Not good as other 9 hours.

JapanIt’s really clean and the pajamas are a nice touch. Also the place is about a 20 minute walk from Sendai station so it made traveling really convenient.

SingaporeThere were many instructions to follow eg. there is a daily check out time of 10am as daily cleaning occurs between 10am and 2pm. An outing tag with your locker and bed number would be given when you leave the place. You also cannot leave your belongings in your own capsule as it would hinder the cleaning process. The capsule was not sound proof and when individuals move, it would cause noise. The mattress was thin and the pillow were flat in the middle. I suppose it was meant to be ergonomic but it was too flat to be comfortable. There was only 1 electrical socket for each capsule and the ventilation in the capsule was poor. The locker area was separate from the capsule area, hence you will need to think through the items to bring in your capsule. There is also no lounge area for relaxing so you had to head to your capsule immediately after placing your items in your locker and wash up.
The property was very clean and they provided towels and a mesh bag for convenience when bringing items to the showers/vanity table area. Lockers provided had sufficient space too.

SingaporeThe common area in the female bathroom area does get a bit messy with hair, etc during peak, so I usually take mine before everyone else. Bathrooms are clean though.
It's always a safe bet to stay at a 9Hr. I stayed here on a previous trip so I made it my choice again this time. Didn't disappoint even though they cut down on some items like toothbrush to save cost, and frankly, it's more sustainable. You can still ask for it for free if you need.

SwitzerlandThe cussion was not comfortable at all. It felt like it was filled with peas. Also, the capsules were not isolating at all meaning even with earplugs in you could hear every step done with the slippers in front of the capsules. It would probably be better to have everyone walk in socks instead of the provided slippers.
The checkin process was easy and the place was reasonably close to the train station.

JapanAs this facility attracts a range of tourists, it is hard to expect people to follow the rules. Most drunk or foreign tourists would talk loudly in the locker area, which is very close to my capsule bed. I think it is best to provide a lounge or an area where people can talk. Hopefully FAR away from the rooms.
Value for money and access to late night dinning options.

SwitzerlandSo weird that it’s sooo impersonal. You feel like a robot in a futuristic dystopian movie going back every night to your pod while ignoring all of the other robots. There is no communal space. You have to « check out » every day at 10 and can only come back at 14:00 and every time you go out you need to give back your key at the reception.
The staff were nice

JapanIf you ask me, the concept is ruined with mandatory check outs every day at 10am, even if you have a several night stay, you must turn everything in (waste of sheets and cleaning). The pods seem futuristic and well designed at first but because they are made of plastic, if you move around in your sleep they make annoying squeaky noises. Not to mention horrible acoustics in general (hearing snoring left and right). In addition, not sure why the floors aren't carpeted but i could hear people constantly walking around in my section... why?? Instead I would either make shoe removal mandatory and/or make the pod room floors carpet to dampen the noise level. People already make noise talking and opening/closing the doors... capsule hotels are nice backup plans but not ideal for light sleepers!
I like how straightforward the whole place is, and that you get a little bag with goodies. The shower room is well set up and the lockers are large, fitting bigger bags too.
