Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNothing. Everything was PERFECT.
We have stayed at many ryokans across Japan and Jinde is now one of our most favourite. We stayed during winter and everything was absolutely perfect. The Staff, food and hot spring baths were all exceptional. Note that the staff do not really speak much English and knowing a little bit of basic Japanese will help, but they will make every effort to accommodate you regardless. The best way is to arrive by car (we had a rental car) and they have plenty of parking space available which is easily accessible. You'll immediately be greeted with an amazing view of Mount Fuji right from the parking lot. I would happily recommend this Ryokan to anyone.

FranceThe ryokan has hours. You are dining at that time. Then breaky that time. Then vacate your room from 11 for clean up. A bit strict, however, that is the case in most ryokan. I found a hair in the outside onsen. The previous user was not careful because the ryokan was clean. I did not like the narrow roads in front of the property. The ryokan warned me about them. Still, you are tense when you drive the last 2 minutes.
Very traditional ryokan managed my an old lady. Very nice and good attention to details. Come on time they are not open before. The onsen are on first arrived first serve basic. They have 3 onsens. One natural outside. 2 more in out with view. Oh my the food ! She kept bringing more and more wonderful food. 3 fresh sashimi fish, broth to cook, a trillion of small dishes. Mostly sea theme and so fresh. Wonderful. Just for the restaurant you shall go there. And the plume wine is a pleasant experience. Very good money / value.

RussiaThis place exceeded my expectations! All hot spring baths are private, which is perfect. We had no problems reserving them whenever we wanted. The dinner and breakfast were not just food but a whole cultural experience. The staff was so sweet and did their best to communicate with us. We even got to see Mt. Fuji near the hotel, which was a pleasant surprise. The sea is also very close to the place. I would love to return someday!

This place is a must stay if you are in the area. The owner was a sweet older woman who did not speak much English, but did her best and we were able to understand the important things. She told us what time dinner and breakfast would be, explained how to reserve the onsen, and showed us to our room. Our room was located at the end of the hallway and had a private onsen patio. It was gorgeous! The room is very traditional with an entryway, and bathroom off to the side. Open the sliding door and you are in a beautiful tatami room with room for futons and a small table, as well as space for your luggage. On the table there were small snacks and an electric kettle with hot water already prepared and ready to make tea. The futons were already laid out, and were extremely comfortable. The room had a heater that you could adjust to your liking. Past the tatami there was another small table with two chairs, a drying rack, and a sink. The attached onsen on the patio was covered and shaded. There were plants to help provide privacy, but you could see the skyline peaking above the fence. The owner called us at 8 for dinner. We went in the provided yukatas, which were very comfortable, and had an amazing dinner. There were over 12 individual small plates of fresh food, and she kept bringing more as dinner went on. There was shabu shabu, sashimi, grilled fish, soup, and some other things that I did not know the names of, but it was all delicious. We then took a bath in the private onsen in the other building. You go outside, and into a building next door. Be careful of the stairs, they are a little steep. The onsen itself is small, but fits the two of us very comfortably. The tub is a metal oval tub with onsen water flowing into it constantly. The water was at a perfect temperature, and since it was outside, the breeze kept the room not too steamy. The next day we stayed for the 8 AM breakfast, which was another amazing meal consisting of many small dishes.

MalaysiaThe location is a lil bit far and inconvenience. Although we could see the sea from window. But it takes some times to reach the seaside.
Everything is good. The staffs are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The owner (shall be) which is 75 yo even tried to learn Bahasa Malay in advance to greet us. As per previous reviews, the dinner and breakfast are exceptionally good and worth the money. Besides that, the onsen is separate in rooms and can be used individually which is foreigners friendly. Especially those who are not used to bath with strangers.

ChinaThe owner of the hotel was very welcoming, even though she didn't speak English. The guests were mostly Japanese, and as guests from China, we received special attention from them. The meals they serve are nice. The boss found out that my child could not eat raw fish, so she offered to cook it for her. The hotel's hot springs are also very clean. There is a bus stop near the hotel and it is easy to get around. There were many small crabs in the surrounding fields, which made the child very happy.

SingaporeThe private onsen / shower area is outdoors, and there were blinds along the glass windows which acted as dividers, but the blinds were still relatively see-through (something to note if privacy is a concern). The door right beside the glass windows was also mainly glass, but there was no provided way to cover it up for some privacy when bathing.
The half-board dinner and breakfast were amazing and really filling with fresh ingredients used, and the staff also offers rice refills if the provided amount isn't enough. There were also two onsens to choose from, which are occupied on a room basis, which is very helpful for those who are not comfortable with using public onsens with strangers. The staff knew a bit of English and had hand-held translators for helping with more complicated expressions. I also noticed a lot of attention to detail for our comfort: - The staff personally saw us to our room and briefed us on some typical ryokan etiquette - There was already hot drinking water prepared in a flask when we arrived (no need to wait for it to boil) - A separate pair of slippers to use in the bathroom was already provided inside - The futons were already set up beforehand - On check out day, our shoes were already placed at the front (no need to look for our shoes in the rack)

JapanThere are unexpected visitors in the room. (bugs) My mother got rid of 3 small centipedes and a medium-sized spider. My mother complained to the staff however little has been done which is a negative mark to the excellent service they do.
Very good variety of local food (Variety of Locally Fished Sashimi, Kinmedai Shabu Shabu, and other Local Dishes), in the breakfast we have an Aji no HIraki to be pan grilled on the table and other local Japanese small dishes. You can have the hot spring exclusive to you without additional charge which is a real plus for a hot spring aficionado. The room is simple and clean.
