Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNo lifts, so it was hard to carry luggage to the 3rd floor.
It's a bit far from the subway station, but good value for money. The owner was really nice and accommodating. Place is clean and it seems to be relatively new.

CanadaI had to make my own bed. It was my first time seeing this and I find it strange. The price was not particularly low as to justify something like that in my opinion from having slept at 10-15 guesthouses. The blanket was particularly small and, in addition to the pillow, there was a cushion, but no pillowcase for it. There is no door dividing the bathroom from the dorm. Guests using the bathroom will generate a lot of noise for the guests sleeping. The light bulbs in the bunks are very big which lead me to believe they are meant for exterior fixtures. The impact on guests is that using the bunk lights generate a lot of light for both the user and the surrounding guests.
There is a well maintened common space. With many amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen that you can use fully except for the gas cooktop. I liked the bed. There were three toilets, 2 mix and 1 for the ladies. Staff isn't always on site, but it didn't hinder the quality of my stay. Please, do not be thrown off by what I didn't like. I would go back, not as a first choice, but as clean and trustworthy environment.

PolandWe had some concerns about the cleanliness of the corridors. Visitors using the kitchen would have appreciated more equipment, e.g. plates, cups.
This is a very good hostel. It is in a safe and quiet location near the centre. The host is very polite and informative. The hostel has the equipment you need to stay in the city.

Australiathere were only few tables to sit down on to eat or relax. as the accommodation had practically no guests, this wasn't an issue during our stay but would be if more rooms were occupied as in private rooms you can only just stand next to the bed. in the dormitory, you can't relax either. we had to carry our luggage up two levels on a rather narrow staircase. in the room no space for luggage. ok for a backpack but it was then where you would be standing when getting out of bed. no fan or ac in the bedroom, at least the window could be opened. air conditioning in the hallway. our room got hot (summer visit), there is a heater for winter times. the private room only had a sliding door that could not be locked, no safety for belongings left behind. reception was not staffed during check-in time. we had to message them and the receptionist arrived within about 15 to 20 minutes. receptionist was chinese and spoke enough english to explain the basics. there is a tv in the common area but people were not allowed to touch it (i'm glad it was off).
clean, common space visually appealing but small. front door safety. fridge, washing machines and dryer. there was a safety emergency hoist to lower people out of the building. away from roads with traffic, this quiet on the outside. inside the building people are asked to be quiet as to not disturb others.

United StatesThe dorm room was too warm, and the proprietor said the a/c wasn’t needed (it’s July!), so he did not turn it on. Many of the rules were posted, and all were reasonable. I would have appreciated more guidance to the guests about slamming doors, gargling and clearing sinuses for 20 minutes at midnight. There is a big difference between snoring (unintentional and forgivable) and behaving like an inconsiderate oaf (are you even thinking?) The price was much too high (3 day holiday weekend) and was simply price gouging.
The essentials were clean and functional. Most everything was explained or perfectly clear.

CanadaThe place is closed till 4 and it was just my luck someone was there which allowed me to drop my luggage off before check in. I found the sleeping pads to be too thin which caused pain. The toilets are super clean albeit just a little tight of an area.
Decent location and a very friendly host!

Germanythe futons are very thin and uncomfortable the curtains were very thin and light from the room could pass through easily
the Location is very nice when visiting during the snow festival, as it is located at the end of the main side. however, it's a bit offside for the other sightseeing spots like Susikuno. but a tram station is nearby so its alright.

United StatesI found it somewhat amusing that most of the things in the common area you couldn't use. Couldn't use the heater/ac on the wall, the TV, the stove in the kitchen, or the main floor bathroom sink. The common area isn't that great for socializing in my opinion as the bench mats aren't that comfortable & I ended up using my airplane neck pillow as the pillow provided weren't firm enough for me (purely personal preference mind). The laundry cost ¥300 & drying was ¥200. Might've been that I put too much in for the machine but I only did a small load & even after 2 cycles in the dryer my clothes didn't even come out warm dry. Made it work anyway since I didn't want to do a 3rd cycle.
So I stayed here for 2 weeks, & I personally found it to be pretty good for the value. I liked that each bed had good privacy curtains, working outlets, personal light (to note, the light is bright. I didn't like using it at night because it was so bright but that's personal preference) & a clothes rack between the beds so if your stuff got wet while out or if you decided to do some laundry you could hang them up to dry. I don't know if this is a pro or a con or just coincidental, but I didn't find this to be a very social hostel. There weren't any social activities offered on or offsite which is fine but it might have been nice to have had the option? Either way, again, wasn't that important of a factor for me. I liked that people left you alone & despite being in a 18 bed dorm I never had issues using the bathroom or shower. I also enjoyed the umbrellas you can use. Talked a little bit with the owner who seems very nice.

SingaporePrivate double room is as good as a dorm in private corner. Bad sound insulation so it can get very noisy whenever people using using the share bathroom and washing facilities. Can hear the next room quite clearly. No air condition so one has to leave the room door open for the common corridor air conditioning to cool the room.
One of the cheapest in the city.
