Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndonesiaLove the onsen and outdoor bath area, facilities very clean. They also provided shampoos, body soaps and skin care stuff as well (basic ones) bedroom also very cozy. Food is good, different menu for breakfast and dinner, but same menu every day. Not a very far walk to other onsens as well.

United StatesIt was a bit expensive and was a 15 minute walk from downtown.
The buffet breakfast and dinner were expansive and delicious. The rooms were comfortable and had a beautiful view. The shuttle service to downtown was helpful. The boutique in the hotel was awesome too.

United StatesFood quality at breakfast. It would be better to serve fewer items of better quality, than many items of lower quality.
Breakfast was ok. Dinner was pretty good. Overall the experience was very relaxing and fun.

ThailandThe hotel is located in the legendary city of 7 public onsens. The hotel offers free shuttle bus to and from these onsens. The admissions are free for hotel guests (they will give you the pass for that). However, the best onsen is not one of the 7 but the one in the hotel itself. The room is spacious with en suite bath and toilet. Breakfast and dinner are buffet and fun to eat. Don't expect anything fancy but overall quality is very good.

It was a very well organized hotel with a cute giftshop and a large spread of food during breakfast and dinner.

United StatesLonger walk to town but the shuttle bus made up for it.
The size of the room we booked. The shuttle bus service. The high value items in the buffets. They are part of local Ryokan association so there is free shuttle bus to take you yo hotel when you arrive.

SingaporeIt was crowded, even though the food was good we didn’t like that the meals were all buffet style. The baths were decent, but small, and only one side had an external onsen. The rooms didn’t have any shower facilities, but that’s not uncommon
Clean, large rooms, quiet location

IndonesiaThe location was a bit off the main street which is fine in normal situation but road construction making it difficult to walk with suitcases going there.
The public bath was well maintained with dry and steam sauna. Dinner and breakfast buffet were great. They even have selections of baby food for the little ones.

United KingdomDated, no English speaking staff (had to be done remotely in an iPad), major bridge construction causing noise and dust plus a pedestrian detour which involved us having to walk along a track next to the road, impossible to roll a case along. Despite the town being tattoo friendly, the hotel wasn’t so we couldn’t use their facilities.

FranceProperty is correct. Clean, nothing to complain. Breakfast and dinner are correct also. If the room facing the lake. The view is very nice.
A bit far from center . Especially now they are building a bridge beside hotel. So a bit difficult walk to or from centre. But hotel provides bus from 4pm everyday.

NorwayFor some reason my room was never cleaned during the day, without any explanation. Luckily I had hung up the towels for drying myself, so I could manage without a replacement.
Even though the hotel is located a little distance from central Kinosaki, there is a shuttlebus service. The dinner buffet had a lot of variety! The ambience inside the hotel is relaxing as well.

SwedenThe hotel is not easily accessible as there are road works going on - you have to drag your bags through grovel and walk on the car lane. The location is also a bit off. They have a minibus, but it operates strange hours that don’t allow you to get back in time for dinner, or to the station if you leave after 10 AM. The hotel staff speak no English and don’t really try to be helpful, although they are polite.
The hotel’s facilities are really good, with a diverse dinner and breakfast buffe, public baths, massage chairs and free drink and snack bar.
