Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanMaybe I still don't know how these shower types work, but I couldn't get water that was between boiling and freezing. The futon/bed had almost no cushioning, I slept with a towel placed where my body was hitting the frame.
Serves the purpose you would expect of a hostel. Good location, good cleanliness and staff.

AustraliaKitchen was too small(difficult to fit even two people) and only one kettle was available for the whole building. Taking the slippers on and off and having to carry shoes on the lift was inconvenient.

SingaporeThey do not help to call taxi. Location wise is not very close to train station. This is not convenient when you carry luggage walk to hotel during winter.
Hotel close to Nino market and Tanukikoji street which has a lot of drug stores.

PhilippinesThey charge for luggage storage before check in and after check out. A bit of walk to Susukino, Odori and the nearest subway station. Only 2 toilets and 1 shower for each gender for the whole floor.
Clean rooms, big beds, quite spacious for Japanese standards. Near a lot of bus stops, with reliable Google Maps schedules.

PhilippinesI left my hand fan in the bathroom. A guess must’ve taken it. It was special to me because it was my souvenir from my trip to Osaka during summer.

ThailandThe hotel is not very close to the subway station it takes 300m walk to the station and another 200m walk to get to the ticket office and train platform (Bus Center Mae Station). They charge 200yen per luggage if you want to keep the luggage in the hotel before if you come before check-in time and after check-out.
The Interior design in hotel is very nice. The hotel is very close to the tourist attractions such as Nijo Market and a short walk to the Tanukikoji Shopping Street. The Kitchen in the hotel is nice and bathroom is very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful also come with a great English speaking skill.

DenmarkThere is not much space in the room, and there’s no storage space. It seemed a bit expensive compared to other places we stayed in Japan, but that might be due to the snow festival.
It’s very conveniently located close to Odori Park and the snow festival taking place in February. It was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the stay. It’s possible to store luggage for a small fee

JapanLarge group of foreigners were drunk at midnight and they made a huge noise and also made wrest rooms messy because of vomits. That was disgusting.
Location was perfect. It was right in front of market, and 5 minutes walk from center of downtown. Mostly the facilities were clean. The staff were really nice. They handled the problem promptly.

CanadaThe room is very small and the walls were quite dirty.
The location is amazing. You are basically walking distance away from everything. The room is small but it has all the things you need. You need to take your shoes off at the first floor and use slippers in the hostel. The water pressure in the shower was quite nice. There are some seats in the lobby and there is a bar but it was closed during our stay. This is not a social hostel.

AustraliaThe pillows were extremely hard as well as the bed. The room is very cramped so travellers should be aware.
The staff were so kind and helpful and the hostel was a lovely warm nest to return to at the end of a freezing, snowy day. The rooms were small but great view. Showers and toilets were fantastic, toiletries, towels and extras were much appreciated and great value. Appreciate the heater and humidifier as well as fridge and kettle supplied. Located close to markets, stores and restaurants- the station is just around 7 minutes walk away to get to Sapporo station.

AustraliaYou have to take your shoes off before leaving the main area. I'm not of fan of using shoes that don't belong to myself. The kitchen is nice to have, but very tiny and only works for 1 person at a time. We planned our cooking during weird times as to make sure we were able to make our own food. Small things though comparatively
The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly. There was an option for luggage storage (though was an extra 200 yen per bag) The room was clean and it is relatively close to everything you could need

AustraliaWe kept bumping into the hanging clothes rack haha. You have to take your shoes on and off to go upstairs and the system with the plastic bags and slippers can be a bit tiresome - but considering the snow, it makes a lot of sense not to wear shoes upstairs!
Nicely located near the market, comfortable, clean, functional. They helped us check in a little early.

AustraliaUnderstandable in all honesty, since sapporo snows and its wet, so having to take your shoes off before going on the lift was tedious.
