Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaShower head was a bit awkward and hard not to get water everywhere in the small bathroom.
Clean, modern, good location (although a little bit of a walk to the train)

AustraliaNothing.
We expected the great location and hip aesthetic. What surprised us on the upside was the soul of the place. It just FELT good. I loved watching our breakfast being prepared -- such skill and pizazz -- and it was as delicious as it was beautiful. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

United StatesThe room had a beautiful view. It was quiet, comfortable, with a great bath. The illumination and attention to detail was exceptional. The room had a terrace, which was very enjoyable. A great place to replenish your energy after a busy day in Tokyo. Great wifi connection - it was easy to work and very secure (each room had its private wifi). The hotel is set in Asakusa and the local area is perfect to walk, see sights, and enjoy traditional Japanese food. Healthy breakfast and laundry were on the 4th floor.

United StatesI had one instance on check out that there was a total lack of communication between the night shift and the evening shift. I had an arranged a car to pick me up very early in the morning but the night person knew nothing about this had no idea what to do and caused a lot of issue as no car arrived. In the endIi called an uber but this should not have happened at 5:30am in the morning to catch a flight
I liked the people, super helpful and friendly , the design , the look and feel of the place. I knew the room was small but the design was amazing and i am a hotelier . The hotel was very helpful . the location is a little further from metro system than you think but loved the area and al that goes on

FranceSome extra space to hang clothes would be nice
We really loved the Asakusa neighbourhood, there are lots of restaurants and cafés nearby as well as a beautiful temple and shrine. It's also conveniently located near several different metro/train stops to easily access all the main Tokyo sights! The staff spoke good English and was very useful, helping us book some restaurants.

SwitzerlandThe cheaper rooms are definitely less appealing and less value for money. don’t spend to much on them.
i stayed twice at this hotel. If you book the high priced rooms you get great extras like a fee minibar and a nice view. I did not stay in the room that was pictured on booking but it was nice anyways.

BelgiumBathrooms are a bit small if you're taller than average. The bed in a superior bedroom was a bit small for two people.
Great location, in the middle of Asakusa, next to shopping streets and the Asakusa sanctuary. Rooms are well equipped and quiet. All amenities are provided, with a nice breakfast. Kimono experience was a nice extra. Cheap and efficient laundry on site. A great base to discover the area and more.

AustraliaFacilities were a little low for me (6'2") and I ended up hitting my head very hard on the wooden box surrounding the airconditioning unit, spent the next 24 hours with a low-grade headache.
A hotel for young-ish travellers in the heart of Asakusa. Great staff, lovely decor, had a downstairs cafe/bar that was always half-full of friendly hotel patrons. Hip without being unfriendly

United StatesThere was nowhere to sit down in my room other than the bed which had a white duvet cover. There was a tiny stool but that's just not comfortable. Also, I had to buy a wash cloth because they don't provide them. And another thing is you cannot have their breakfast unless you order before you arrive. Doesn't make sense if you are there for 4 nights as I was.
The location and the staff.

BrazilThe hotel is a happy surprise in the middle of Asakusa. The decor and service is amazing, great bed and a cozy room made our stay in tokyo surely better. The amenities and facilities are great and we loved the bikes for rental, great for a stroll in the area. A lot of restaurants, little stores and konbinis a few steps from the hotel, not to mention the senso-ji a few squares away. We'll surely be returning for our next stay in Tokyo.

AustraliaThis is a gorgeous boutique hotel in Asakusa. The room was a good size (room 606) with a big balcony. Perfect to sit outside to have a coffee or drink in the evening. The room was well laid out. The bathroom was a good size and the bath was perfect. We loved the location - close to restaurants, transport and also the Asakusa district. Highly recommend.

United Kingdomwish the pyjamas were affordable, I enjoyed them
it states it’s a 3 star hotel, but this is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in, ever, and that’s not hyperbole. good location, close to the Senso-Ji shrine, reasonable walk to the subway. room was lovely, I was surprised to find I had a roof terrace, wasn’t aware I picked that option. the view won’t blow you away, but it’s a nice addition, and a great place to sit. loads of free items in the minibar FREE. Beer, cider, water. bath salts, slippers, hairbrush, toothbrush, face set. pair of lovely kimono style pyjamas you can wear, NOT FREE, about £75 in the hotel lobby, if they were cheaper I would have bought them. staff were friendly and helpful. didn’t try the bar or food
