Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanIt could use better soundproofing because sometimes, you can hear the people outside walking around, due to the hotel being elevated from the ground and made from metal
The rooms very clean, comfortable and had all the necessary amenities for a short stay.

United KingdomIt was raining when I arrived, and having to walk through the rain between my room and the lobby wasn't ideal, plus it meant the entranceway to my room got wetter than it would have done otherwise. That was a minor issue though and everything else was fine.
I was a little hesitant to stay in a container, but it was comfortable and in reality not much different from most Japanese hotel rooms. The staff were great. I appreciated the complimentary microwave meal and other amenities on offer. The massage chair was a nice touch too.

SingaporeJust a note for other travellers who are not driving there that the nearest exit (South exit) at Ashikaga station to this property is only accessible by stairs and closes earlier, so there might be a need to plan your travel based on the other exit, but there was an underpass near the property that makes it slightly easier to do so. Also, as it was raining throughout my stay, it was very easy to get drenched in the area with minimal shelter and when going in/out of my room, but it was very helpful that I could borrow an umbrella from the front desk. A small point to add is that there was a pretty high step between the room and the toilet, so it might be a little troublesome for people with weaker knees. Other than the above points to consider, the property was pretty worth staying at for the price.
The location was quite central between Ashikaga and Ashikagashi stations, making it easy to travel from Narita Airport and to other parts of Ashikaga. There was a bus stop and other attractions nearby and the area was pretty quiet as compared to a more urban area, aside from cars driving past outside. The room was clean and the property provided various amenities for free, including a simple frozen meal, so the stay was quite value for money. It was also helpful that the property assisted with storing my luggage before check-in/after check-out, although this depends on the space available at the front desk.

AustraliaNo being able to sit anywhere other than the bed.
The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. We were given food coupons to use each day so our dinners were included in the price. The room was big enough for two of us.

United KingdomThe breakfast choice is limited to frozen ready meals, which is not the best thing to have every morning. Maybe, offer some fresh bread or croissants.
Great room and facilities. Comfortable bed and chair. Exceptional design. Reasonable price. Daily breakfast tokens. Unlimited coffee.

JapanThe hotel is situated in the heart of the city, which makes it very convenient for exploring local attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable. One thing that stands out about the room was the massage chair. It’s a nice touch and offer a bit of relaxation after a long day of sightseeing. Tea/coffee and an option of rice or pasta was provided.

JapanMore pillows on the double bed would have been nice. Only 2 is a bit cheap considering the price.
The location was right between two major train stations, so it was a short walk to both of them. Additionally, because this hotel is shipping containers, there's no noise from neighbours next door. It was very new and clean, not dated at all. The tub was spacious and deep, perfect for a bath after a long day.
