A tiny and lovely hotel in Kyoto Sanjo area. quiet and with a charming atmosphere surrounding the neighbourhood. Surely I will come back again.

Spotlessly clean, very spacious, well-appointed room that was excellent value for money. The bathroom was fabulous, with a separate toilet, basin, and washing area. One of the best hotel bathrooms ever and I have experienced a lot! Excellent water pressure, lots of hot water and best of all, space. I loved it. The bed was comfortable, the room was incredibly quiet and I appreciated the kettle and fridge. The tatami seating area was a lovely addition though I didn't really have time to sit there. The hotel's location between two different train lines, near the Nishiki markets and with cafes, restaurants and shops in the lovely little streets surrounding it, made it a very convenient place to stay. My sister recommended it to me and I have already recommended to others. A lovely place to stay!

The rooms are really big, really confortable and well equipped. One of the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, especially for this price ! Great location and overall a really comfortable experience.

Everything was perfect - could be at 11am check out instead of 10am.

Nice size room - traditional but comfortable with modern amenities. Loved the tatami area!

If there is a actual chair in the room, it would be nice.

The location is great. The bathroom and restroom are great too. The room is huge with tatami area and twin beds. As a person who had a back surgery before, I do need to sleep on a bed that is supportive and somewhat hard and firm yet soft and comfy on its cover. The beds in the hotel are a bit too soft for my taste. When I lied on the bed, I could feel the support of the bed. However, when I wanted to get up or move on the bed, I could feel the support was gone. It's just another point of view to the bed from my personal experience, and it's just my taste of the bed. In general, the beds are still expectational.

The room was spacious, bathroom was big as well! Location is great, about a 5-10minute walk to the nearest train station. Nishiki market is also within a 10min walk. Staff were friendly and helped us to organise our luggage to be sent to Tokyo.

The pillow was really uncomfortable. It was flat and had no cushion to it at all.

The hotel is located in a great neighborhood with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Our room was beautifully decorated and SO spacious! Would highly recommend this property.

Room size above average for Japan with seperate sitting area in Japaneese style while the rest of the room were more western style. Nice that bath/shower was seperated from the toilet. Newly renovated (DEC 2024).

We stayed at Tabist Kiki hotel for 2 nights and it was our best experience in terms of the size of room given that hotel rooms are small in most of the cities in Japan. Also, it’s very close to Nishiki fish market and the old town Kyoto. So basically most of the things are in walking distance.

Very spacious and clean. The beds were comfy and you get great heat and A/C. This was 5 mins walk to Nishiki market but everything else is more walking/uber/public transportation. Staff was very nice.

Free refills of coffee pods or a new pod each day would have been a nice touch - shame you had to pay for these. Our room was right by a street light that came through the blinds. Only one washing machine for the whole hotel, each time we went to use it it was in use.

Lovely hotel - very comfortable beds and spacious room with a japanese style mat seating area in our twin room. Great facilities and amazing shower!

The sink is too shallow and water splashes all over easily due to its shape.

All is beyond expectation good! Especially the tatami area in the room. If you live on the 1st floor you are not allowed to open the window but that's not a problem at all. The bathroom is spacious.

The location and cleaniness of the room was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. It would have been great to have a desk or somewhere one could write. Other than that, it was all good.

I would have preferred a chair and table/desk over the tatami mat and cushion, but no big deal.

Great location, quiet but central and somewhat trendy / stylish. Fun neighborhood to spend time when not doing the sights. Room was very large by Japanese standards and very clean.
