Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWife really enjoyed the onsen and tradition Japanese breakfast was great. Also Tepanyaki course for dinner. The bathroom set up is more Japanese with no plug for the sink or mirror to shave at but the room was fairly comfortable otherwise. We both enjoyed the private onsen in our room. Also explored the shops on the island for a snack at lunchtime.

United StatesThe private onsen was really special with a great view of the ocean and it was fun watching the planes land. You can’t actually hear the plane land and the hotel room is quiet and peaceful. The food and service was excellent. Very clean and well maintained. Perfectly situated above the terrace restaurants and park. The breakfast course was phenomenal- felt like fine dining. It’s 5 min from the airport so a perfect spot to rest before departing Okinawa. Would love to come back one day and stay longer.

FranceNote that this hotel is brilliant for enjoying the facilities and the nearly restaurants on Senaga island. But if you want to use it as a base to enjoy the rest of Okinawa it is a bit isolated. The tatami area wasn't actually real tatami but a kind of fake tatami that I suppose is easier to wipe down and keep clean. The hot spring/room clothes provided were ok but they could have been slightly better quality. We just used our own pyjamas. But these are just small points in an overall excellent experience.
Exceptional room with our own private hot tub on the terrasse. Comfortable beds. We had a tatami style area with a small table where we drank the tea provided while enjoying the view over the sea. The public hot spring baths were exceptional and it was interesting to watch the planes land from the bath. The next day the male and female baths were reversed so we experienced both. My daughter and I joked we were living like the rich! The service was polite and good. We ordered lunch as an extra which was delicious and we sat on a table overlooking the sea. The breakfast was very good too and also on a table overlooking the sea. As this is an expensive hotel we stayed inside for most of our stay to enjoy the facilities. Near the hotel there are lots of restaurants. We ate delicious pancakes at Shiawase pancake but would like to return to try other places.

United KingdomThe breakfast quality could be better. We are used to and like Japanese breakfast style but some of the food was a bit greasy. The standard room was small.
Lovely onsen and great sea views. Massages were wonderful. There is a fantastic Italian restaurant next door.

CanadaThe hotel was comfortable, clean and the staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, both meals were memorable and not just delicious but works of art. The Onsen was amazing and even had an infinity Onsen that overlooked the Pacific Ocean and the airport so one could relax and watch the sea or the planes landing (including F35s). I would highly recommend staying at this hotel, left feeling relaxed and reinvigorated after a good night’s sleep, spending time in the Onsen and having two amazing meals.

TaiwanUnfortunately breakfast is set menu which maybe good for local tourist but not for International traveller. We would prefer to have buffet instead. Sauna is always full of people which should treat hotel guests as priority instead of opening to general public without any limitation and they really should limited access of general public.
View and service are really good.

United KingdomDespite telling the manager one of us did not eat seafood, they continued to serve it every morning. Service in the restaurant could have been better especially in this regard. Also, Okinawa rice was delicious but they only offered it one day and the other days the choices were plain white rice or porridge. Surprised not many staff able to speak English so booking a driver and car for a day took a long time especially to confirm the itinerary. Didn’t see BBQ option for evening meal which was a shame.
Breakfast presentation was excellent Location & view was lovely especially from our room overlooking sea and our private onsen. Buses going into Naha and the airport directly outside hotel so convenient.

TaiwanFor this trip, recommend that smoking room could be moved away from the front door. Otherwise, customers probably would have bad image to approach the hotel initially.

Hong KongThe tatami and the cabinet were a bit tired looking.
We had balconies and open air bath for both of our rooms, the view was magnificent! Great traditional japanese breakfast- generous portion. The onsen was a little busy but was spacious enough. Loved the standing bath- nice view of the see and airport from there! They provided a nice little cot for our baby to sleep in!

JapanToo many keys and coins to deal with when we go to onsen area… as we were family of 7. I wish we can directly walk into the bath area without through another reception.
Really enjoyed the hot spring water made my skin so smooth and relaxed. All the staff were nice, kind and pro-activity professional. Breakfast bento box was beautifully stunning.
