Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong KongThe common area in the hotel has no facilities. No scenic spots in the area other than a single ecological garden, which was huge.
Food was superb, room was superb, onsen in the garden was even better. Staff were extremely attentive. The massage organzied for us was the best we ever experienced in Japan.

SingaporeBeing a typical Japanese setup, I found it a little weird that the W/C was in a standalone room by the closet. After I did my business I had to walk quite a distance to the shower to use the sink there to wash my hands. Not the best for someone who usually wakes up to pee in the middle of the night, not gonna lie I stumbled a bit trying to walk from the bed to w/c to sink.
What can I say.... this is by far the most extreme hotel I've stayed in. The service was impeccable. The moment you arrive in your car they flag you down and check you in right by the hotel. Then they proceed to unload all your luggage and carry them in for you. The hotel was mostly locals and they came to only stay for a night or two at most so they usually only came with 1 suitcase, but we arrived with 8. The staff mobilised like a well organised squad and each staff came to carry each of our bags individually. When you enter the hotel for the first time you're greeted by 6-8 staff in beautiful yukatas bowing and welcoming you. You take your shoes off at the entrance and they store it for you til you want to leave again. I literally couldn't fault anything. The food was amazing, we topped up money for whatever we could. Had teppenyaki on the first night and kaiseki on the second. The rooms are immaculate, very very very spacious and the onsen was very beautiful. You can just wake up everyday and watch the sunrise in your private balcony or onsen.

This is one of the best hotels, I've ever been to. You will feel free from everything and concentrate on yourself and your partner. moor water was also special and it collaborated very well with the Minimalism architecture. The main onsen feels like a pure ritual area, the ceiling and wall are very high and made with Hinoki woods, On the top, There is a small window that comforts the warm daylight into the main onsen. During the daytime, it goes down to the moor onsen. and it is brightened as amber light. I don't usually write a review. but I recommend this special place in Obihiro Tokachigawa. P.S. Obihiro is a Japanese city but architecturally looks more like a United States city. I don't know why. I am surprised with the food.... Rice itself is so good and most of the foods in Obihiro were great.

The enthusiastic service quality of the staff is very good, especially after Mr. Masato Takano knew that my wife liked to enjoy flowers too much, he personally gave us some garden information and recommended a good garden at breakfast time the next day. The facilities and design in the room are very good, especially the hot spring pool in the room. Teppanyaki and Kaiseki dinner are super delicious and equisite; Japanese and Western breakfast are also super delicious. If we have a chance, you will definitely check in again in Hokkaido.

Hong KongThe property is really inaccessible and there are no facilities to accommodate anyone with disabilities. No wheelchairs, no accessible rooms. The onsen, whilst excellent, is difficult to get into as there was no stepping bench or stone. It was really deep and as the water quality makes it black, it was scary for someone with Sciatica to get in or out of. The ground was also slippery where one gets out of the onsen. The furniture was disappointing. No table or desk, just a round coffee table which was covered by their reading material and things they want to sell. The sofa was too low and too soft. No room-to-room dialing at all. Their "phone" was another fancy I-Pad. Light switches all over the place with no central control. The most unforgivable was staff attitude and organization. When we first arrived, the person who was supposed to greet us at the door was distracted by a returning guest. When we went in, they had no slippers for me - I have Sciatica and walking on hard floors (even tatami) is very painful. No one offered to help check us in. There were lots of young staff members just standing there staring at the door - obviously instructed by senior management to do that. No one spoke a word to us as only staff dressed in kimonos can do the check-in. The Manager (the only person in a black suit) was just inadequate. He said that they sell soft slippers and I can have a pair if I paid for it. However, those slippers have an arch in it and does not help me at all. I have a computer with me as I needed to do work, and they could not find a desk for me anywhere. I believe the whole problem is that this is another one of those "Design hotels". They focus on how beautiful their surroundings are, without catering to their guests. Their guests are supposed to be overwhelmed by their lofty philosophy: Harmony, respect, purity and tranquility. Well, need I say more?
The onsen water, the bed and the food. We had a fantastic server by the name of Shoji-san. She served our dinner which was really good. Her whole attitude was fantastic and surpassed all expectations.

New ZealandWebsite communications regarding the closure of the Teppanyaki restaurant on certain days would have been important information for guests who love teppanyaki. However I was dining on the day they were open but staff claimed that the Chef was too busy to cook for us, even though we explained that we were happy not to dine at the teppanyaki counter. But try as you might, hotel could have gone the extra mile.
Food in general was okay, standard at most from a higher classed establishment. However lack of English speaking staff made communication very difficult.
