How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The only thing we didn’t like was that you had to pay to get laundry done and it was EXTREMELY expensive (eg. 600yen for 1 shirt). Every other hotel we stayed it had to laundry service aswell as machines for you to do your own washing, This was a complete let down aswell as the hot water in the shower only being warm (not hot) but besides that everything else was great
Loved our stay at shibuya stream. Super convenient location above the station and very spacious and comfortable room.

There was nothing we didn’t like . We loved it ! Maybe the room was small but it was very comfortable..
Clean room, location, great food options near by. Great staff, very comfortable bed and superb shower . Easy to get to and from the hotel, train station next to the hotel . Very nice details of care.

Depending on what floor you're on, if you need to warm up food you have to go to individual floors or wash clothes, etc.
The hotel is very central, and close to everything while at the same time tucked off to the side. The room was way bigger than most typical Tokyo hotel rooms. They had grab and go amenities such as moisturizer, toothbrush, hair oil, etc. The downstairs also had a daily drink from the bar between 4:30pm-5:30pm which was really nice.

Great location only 5 minute walk from all the shops and restaurants but with some nice cafes and local shops nearby. Comfortable beds and great aeminities.

The elevators were painfully slow. The water pressure from the bathtub faucet was very low and took a long time to fill.
The location was perfect - the hotel is literally above Shibuya station and less than five minutes from Shibuya Scramble Crossing. My room was small (not unlike others in Tokyo) but very clean and comfortable with great views of the city. The bathtub was deep and came with complimentary bath salts. A mini-fridge is provided along with sparkling and still water. The breakfast buffet was vegetarian-friendly with lots of options. There are dozens of restaurants in the same building and the bar/lounge has live music.

The kitchen floor at L13 could be improved with plates and cutlery provided.
Room is spacious for Tokyo standard. Location is excellent, accessible from exit C3 of Shibuya train station. Laundry facilities is excellent. They even have the clothes refresher!

The convenient location, the comfortable room and the friendly staff - with all the extras. My partner and I loved our stay here. Very close to the train station and easy access to many restaurants. The hotel offered unlimited water bottles delivered to the room via robot, which was a joy in itself. They also offered 1 free drink in the evenings, which I wish we got to use more! The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable and large enough for myself (6 foot tall).

The hotel was lovely and modern. Prime location for exploring Tokyo and a bit of calm in a busy area. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they were always happy to help and nothing was too much trouble.

The initial person who greeted us was not very friendly. She also stated they dont do luggage delivery from the location which they clearly do according to their own pamphlet and also yamato transport downstairs. The bathroom had a little bit of mold and uncleanliness smell from the tub.
The location was great and the room was nice even though the bathroom could have been cleaner

Night time when some route from JR or train exit was closed, need to go alternative route which maybe abit confusing.

I would have the breakfast time extended to 10:00.
You can't beat the location. Straight from the lobby into the Shibuya scramble and the Shibuya station.

no complaints really, perhaps they could switch around the breakfast more often, but there's plenty of options outside the hotel as well so no big deal
this is my 6th time at this hotel, it's perfect, location, design and comfort in the rooms. the rooms aren't big but c'mon, it's Shibuya, you can't expect big rooms! amazing staff and the location is UNBEATABLE! Anyone staying in Tokyo should stay here, period
