Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceStaff couldn't speak much English, although they did try and were friendly. They do not organise luggage transfer. Rooms are pretty small, probably worthwhile to pay more for a bigger one.
Really nice design, modern touches and great looking hotel and furniture. The onsen if awesome, with a yummy drink afterwards if you want. Beds are comfy and rooms are clean.

SwitzerlandThe hotel does not realy offer a western syle breakfast. For a coffe and some small pastery you are better off outside on the streets. In our room we had a japanse style tatami table, fixed to the floor, killing all the space we asked for in our room. That is a completely idotic design. Pitty, for a hotel that otherwise was a pearl in terms of design and comfort.
This is a very stylish brand new property. We had a specially large room, excellent beds, nice bathroom. The hotel also has an inhouse onsen, which was just perfect to relax after long days of sight seing. All the design in the hotel is specially selected, nothing pretentious about it. Actually I would call it a design pearl, very well done!

It is about a 25 min walk to the hotel from Kanazawa Station, but I like the fact that Omicho Market is just opposite the hotel which makes having breakfast and lunch super convenient and the food is good.

United StatesSuper easy/fast automated check-in process. Unbelievably beautiful hotel. The public bath is clean and relaxing. The room is incredibly comfortable and overall features great utilization of the space. Location is super convenient - right across the street from Omicho Ichiba, an easy walk to the historic Chaya districts, and also an easy <15 min walk from Kanazawa station. I feel like I should have paid more than I did for what I got - beyond expectations.

SingaporeOnsen area got too crowded during peak hours in the evening so if there can be more space at the changing area will be better.
Hotel is just beside Omicho market but to get to JR station, it is ard 15 mins walk. Good facilities with in-house onsen. Rooms were clean and comfy. Hotel reception was very nice to provide welcome snacks , free drinks at onsen area . We also enjoy the free service to make scent pouches that were provided by the hotel near the reception area.

The best part of this place is directly opposite the Omicho Market where the freshest seafood, sashimi is. We had lunch upon arrival and breakfast the next day. The room is very clean and the place has a young vibe as you enter.

AustraliaThe carparking situation was a bit misleading. There's no car park on site but there is one just behind it but it's pretty pricey.
Contemporary Japanese breakfast was great! The vibe of the hotel in general is so zen and earthy, it's hard to not feel relaxed! The yukata is really nice quality and they've got lots of small touches that make a difference like the make your own scented wood chip satchets and the teabags in your room are exceptional. I actually liked the self check in and out, it was very smooth and efficient. Location is excellent too.

New ZealandUnfortunately the hotel closed expectantly over the period I had booked. However, the hotel was very quick and informative about the situation and had organised an alternate hotel to stay at for my stay at no cost and even refunded the original cost. Although I was disappointed I wasn't able to stay there, the hospitality that I received was outstanding and I would book again if I visit Kanazawa again.

United StatesCould not get questions answered due to language limitations. Breakfast requires reservations on busy days and sold out for next day when we checked the afternoon before.
Brand new hotel. Open in November 2022. Very modern and lots of amenities. Mostly cater to Japanese. No English speaking staff but self check in was very easy. Osen had free bottles of coffee lattes.

AustraliaNothing.
Everything. It is a new, modern, Avant Garde, Chic, hotel with minimalist architecture, design and decor. All the usual hotel room facilities were there but done a little differently. I enjoyed the refreshing change. A sense of calm. It had a huge TV screen and the bed (mattress) was on a raised platform. Futon style but very comfortable. The public hot bath (not an Onsen) on the first (ground) floor was a new experience for me, and a most pleasant one. I was very impressed with the leak proof, shower cabinet and plumbing.

PhilippinesI’m a vegetarian and I booked the room including breakfast however there was no vegetarian option so we didn’t end up having breakfast even if we paid for it. The breakfast is Asian style so with fish & meat in case you are a veggie. I would at least provide vegetarian options for those who can’t eat meat!
The hotel is really beautiful and centrally located. We loved everything about the hotel from the design to the excellent staff and amazing onsen!
