Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Japanthe pillows on the bed were either the extremely hard type with beans inside or very soft, but the mattress was comfortable so it was only a minor problem

SingaporeThe blanket does not have proper blanket cover means it is not changed during room cleaning. Not hygienic. Not sure when the hotel change the blanket. The blanket is used as bed cover. Seems like all Sotetsu hotels have same kind of arrangement. The flushing system too loud.
Walking distance from Nagoya station. Lots of food in the station and huge Takashimaya.

AustraliaWe had requested to have adjoining rooms - we have two small children. In the message, we said this was essential, otherwise we would book another hotel. We had received a message that this request could be met and that there would be no extra charge. When we arrived, we were assigned two rooms that did not join. When we queried this, the staff finally said that we could be given adjoining/connecting rooms, but that we would have to pay extra. We showed the hotel the email messages that we had received in regards to our original request. They suggested that they did not believe these were true emails - and we felt we were being questioned as being dishonest. The whole process took 3 hours. We arrived at 5:45pm. By 7:00pm when we were still waiting, our 6 year old & 3 year old were getting hungry and so we said we would go to dinner (having to leave all our bags in the lobby) so they could sort it out while we were out to dinner. We arrived back at 8:20pm and they still did not have an answer. By 8:35pm our children were getting very tired, we were becoming very frustrated and so we said, for the sake of our children, we will pay the extra. It was only at that point that they FINALLY said, they had made a mistake and they would give us the adjoining rooms without extra charge. At 8:45pm we arrived in our adjoining rooms. It was frankly ridiculous and a terrible example of customer service. The staff were polite but showed little compassion for the fact that we had two small children waiting for 3 hours for our rooms. It is still astonishing to me that this happened, considering we had booked in advance, and the hotel had confirmed in advance, our special request. We will not be using this hotel again and we will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.
The bed was comfortable.

SingaporeNothing! This place is great!
It is very close to the Nagoya JR station, no more than a 5-7 mins walk. The staff were friendly and helped us look after our luggage when we arrived too early for check-in. The room was surprisingly more spacious than I thought, probably due to a lack of any big table, but it allows for us to open up 2 large luggage on the ground without issue. For those who are big fans of anime/manga, this place is smack-dab in the middle of K-books, Melon books and an Animate outlet, with 2 Animate cafes nearby alongside a number of card shops like C-Labo! Lastly, it is unbelievably cheap! I would strongly recommend this place!

AustraliaThe bathroom was a step down and i almost fell into it when i wasnt paying attention - user error more than anything.
The check in process was a bit of fun, using a qr code to scan yourself in and pay. They had a locker facility which i used as i came early and that was really handy. The baskets of free things (comb, sponge for body, hair cap, scrunchie) was a grest selection. It was really tidy and clean. I liked the location, only 5mins from the train station, but still tucked away so i didnt hear any traffic. The room was a little pokey but it was clean and comfortable.

The room was great. The bed was comfy. It was clean, the check-in and check-out process was easy. It's near the train station and there were a lot of good restaurants nearby. Toiletries were available but you have to get them from the lobby area. There was a laundry machine available as well.

United StatesThe hotel was difficult to find at first even with the help of Google map. I hope the hotel has baggage services (e.g Yamato courier services) to cater to clients who want to send their bags to different location or to their next destination hotel for convenience. Other than that our stay was worthwhile.
The hotel was close to JR Nagoya Station. They have a coin laundry services which would come very handy among travelers. They have toiletries for free like toothbrush, shaving cream and etc. Overall, a wonderful stay in this hotel.

IndiaJust a small thing the room I booked was a little small.
Hotel is located near Nagoya shinkansen station, so there are so many stores surrounding this hotel, good place for shopping, for eating, for exploring. About the hotel room, it was very clean, had a great view from the window, staff was very polite. You don't even need to know Japanese to use any facility here.
