“No view” means the window can’t be opened and the window glass is kind of thick tinted? - little sun shine coming in only. None of the USB outlets in the room worked for us. The bathtub in our room seemed to be loose, as it made sounds when you stepped in it. Breakfast wasn’t available when we stepped in the lobby by 9.30 sharp - there seems not to be a buffet ready but breakfast will be served to you upon request.

They have a self service bar for all kinds of amenities. The staff is really nice, one receptionist helped me making phone calls when I lost a bag.

It’s small but clean, it’s more like a business hotel good gor short stay but not for long ones.The area is a hop and skip away from Nakanoshima Museum so very handy if you want to explore the Naknoshima area.

Their policy of cleaning room every 3rd day of stay. It would be good to clean every other day instead. But new towels daily is good!

Location! Community small businesses were very friendly and likeable with their demeanor and welcoming attitude. Food is reasonably priced and true to their culture not to skip on quality.

We had some trouble with the limit on the number of people per room. More clarity when booking would have been good.

Staff were lovely, and were able to accommodate extra needs - we were able to use the phone and a weighing strap for luggage.

Bathroom abit small for a 6.3" guy but worked around it. Room smaller than what used too in Australia but bed super comfy

Convenient and clean. Train stations close by. Convenient stores close bu and eateries. Main area of Osaka - streets about 50min walk which we did. Staff friendly. Room very clean and cosy.

The washing machines should be cleaned more often and should be separated so that you don't get animal hairs or other kinds of dirt onto your fine clothes or new bought clothes. I just wanted to clean my clothes from sweat and got them somewhat dirtier than I put them in the laundry, It should be noted that while every room has a window, that doesn't imply you get a view on the city. My room had, again, applied some silk screen which blocked the view. Everything else was very good.

I stayed at a more expensive hotel close by before, but I would now prefer the Smile Hotel when coming to Osaka. It provides everything I need and enough space for an affordable price.

A little far from the next bus stop (10 min walk) but no problem at all.

Very clean and unexpectedly spacious room - very positive surprise. I was really happy about the super convenient check-in/ check-out hours. Everything worked out perfectly. 7Eleven just around the corner.

The hotel was confused and ultimately unhelpful when it came to trying to use their services to book for the coming days at both this and other Smile hotels.

A decent basic hotel, comfortable, clean and a reasonable sized room (for a Japanese budget hotel) with a nice view of the river (not from all rooms) and a 15-20 min walk to Osaka station. Good services nearby, and Nakanoshima's impressive Festival Towers. If your main interest is the night-life of Dotonbori, it's a good 20 minute walk away although frankly, Osaka has far better things to offer.
