Can get full real quick cause tours love booking at this hotel for their customers since it’s a big hotel, it can also get noisy cause people talking loudly in the hall

Carpet floor clearly been stained and not appropriately cleaned. Wall placements are all ruined.

The breakfast had a lot of variety, not the best presentation and ends way too early, they should give it to 10am or 9:30am. I wish there was more information about getting to the property given after booking. Also, when I checked out they rapidly did construction removing floors and everything on the ground floor so I couldn’t sit to gather myself before heading out of town. I was wondering if guest were still on the property because it was almost as if they went into shutdown mode after 10am.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The location is PERFECT, you are always in view of the lake and Mt Fuji every time you leave.

Sun Plaza Hotel Fuji Lake Yamanaka - 2 hours bus ride & easy access from Shinjuku Highway Bus Terminal to the Hotel. Just alight at Bus Stop No. 138 (Hotel Mount Fuji Iriguchi/ Hotel Mount Fuji Entrance) and a short 3 minute walk in between the back alley on your left to the hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable with either view of mouny fuji or lake yamanaka. Hotel has a public hot bath. Breakfast spread is healthy and nutritious. We were lucky to have allotted a room on the 3rd floor with both Mount fuji view and lake Yamanaka view. You can either purchase a return ticket and align the highway bus to Shinjuku on the opposite bus stop or to take the local bus to Lake Kawaguchiko station and get on a Bus which leaves hourly to various stations in Tokyo or a JR train. Gotemba Premium Outlet is also an hour away. Just hop on the local bus to Gotemba Eki and then take the free shuttle bus to the outlet.

Breakfast buffet can run out a bit early with slow replenishment. A lot of tour groups are hosted at this hotel so the common areas are sometimes crowded.

Cleanliness of the room and bathroom need to improve, skin redness after sleep on dusty bed and the dirty mattress, also it is too soft (time to change) to sleep, uncomfortable to lie down and it impact the sleeping quality. Washing machine also need to clean up frequently since so many people used it

There's really nothing we didn't like because we didn't spend more than a night there.

The free onsen was a real bonus, equipped with everything you need (at least for women) and cozy, the room was spacious and comfortable and we really liked that the hotel is right on the lake, in the morning we were greeted by a stunning view.

What I liked the most were the staff, the location and the Japanese breakfast. I had a wonderful view of Lake Yamanaka from my hotel room, which was a treat. The Japanese breakfast at Sun Plaza is the best I've had!

Our bus arrived 30 minutes prior to official check in. We came onto a dark lobby. A staff member came and told us check in is strictly 3pm. We were left alone in a dark lobby feeling very unwelcomed. The lights came on at exactly 3pm and we were allowed to check in. There was only 1 pillow per person. I asked for another and was told I will have to pay for that. This has never happened in any other hotel in the world! The whole time we felt the management was trying to squeeze money for every little thing. This really spoiled our holiday there. Very bad customer service. The carpet and furniture in the room had very bad stains everywhere. The hotel is not maintained properly.

The location was great. Just across the road from the lake. The room was very large.

Checking in the young male (from Vietnam?) staff was friendly and nice. The other girl was with bad face. Next morning also, no one cared for checking out.

Location, right by the lake. Can see the top of mountain Fuji from the normal window on the room. The room is a bit small. At least there’s a long desk and two chairs. Convenient store just next door. Onsen is also nice. Just very messy in the night.

The hotel in general had a damp smell, not as strong in the room but it had a smell.

The location in front of the Lake, the staff was super friendly. The breakfast had a lot of variety which I didn't had in any other hotel in Japan. The room was the most spacious I had in Japan.
