Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaCheck in system was chaotic. Too many people at 3pm. I've requested an early-check-in with cost or day-use of a room with cost, however the both requests were rejected due to rooms are not available or my room is not ready at 2pm.
Good location. 24hrs reception for baggage service is good. 24 hrs open convenience store is good too.

The room was beautiful, modern and very clean. The bed super comfy. Shuttle buses really convenient for Disney and airport.

JapanWashing machine provided in the room as well as table ware but no detergents supplied. The convenience store in the hotel does not sell detergents and as the hotel is very far from any supermarkets, we could not use the washing machine.
We were staying in a Junior Suite Room, very spacious with balcony. Good views of Tokyo harbor.

GermanyThe Gym wasn't open, which didn't matter much to me. Facilities could have been better but were good for the price.
Check-In and out was perfect and quick. Staff spoke very good English and was very kind. The separation between premium floor and normal floor by extra lifts was great.

Room has unpleasant smell. location is a little too far from tokyo major attractions. Not a lot of eateries around hotel.
The environment around the hotel is very nice and open. Location is very close to cruiseship terminal and toyosu market.

United StatesIf youre looking for a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of tokyo, this is a good area. Its just right behind Tokyo Big Sight. 2 train station walking distance. Lawson in the 2nd floor. 7/11 across the hotel. Breakfast was interesting (japanese style and western too) Rooms were good size, reason why I picked this hotel. I could pick hotels by shibuya, ginza or shinjuku, but the ones i looked at are half size of sostetsu room we got.

MalaysiaThe breakfast quite expensive but food still acceptable. The location to train is within walking distance and can take train to teamlab planet, but quite isolated from main attractions. But if you have driver bring you go outskirts of tokyo , then should be ok.
Staffs are friendly. As there is airport shuttle bus to hotel from Haneda, so we choose to stay here but bus only once In every hour. The bedroom size still ok as this is tokyo

The bed was very comfortable, and the area was close walking distance to Tully's coffee and to the tube where we could get around all day on that line for just 880 yen. Restaurant in hotel for dinner...

GermanyThere isn't much happening in the immediate area, basically just hotels and offices. For restaurants, shopping, night life etc. you need to go somewhere else.
Public transportation is good. There is the mono rail (Station: Tokyo Big Sight) and a subway station (Station: Kokusai-tenjijo) nearby. I think they operate till about midnight. - The view from the 18th floor was great, unfortunately there are no chairs on the balcony to make the most of it. - The room was relatively small, but very quiet. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a bit aged but alright. - A big plus was the airport transfer, which is not run by the hotel itself. If you arrive at the airport simply go to the bus counter and book a ticket to the hotel. Within 30 minutes we were on the next bus and soon after dropped off right at the front door of our hotel. - There is a Lawson convenience store within the hotel on the second floor. Great for getting a couple of snacks. Across the park there is also a 7eleven. - In case you didn't book breakfast, there is a Sukiya in the oposite building.

SingaporeThe hotel rooms are really small as the walkway from the room entrance door to the main part of the room is only accessible by one person at any point of time. Amenities such as bathing towels and toothbrushes have to be self-collected at kiosks at the lobby or at each level of the hotel.
This hotel is near 2 train stations which makes it easy to travel to other parts of odaiba. It is also a designated stop for Narita airport limo buses, which is a good option for guests with a lot of luggages who prefer not to have to transfer across multiple train lines during their transit to the airport.

PortugalI encountered some issues that affected my overall experience. One major concern was the cleanliness of my room. As someone with a severe dust allergy, I found the presence of carpet throughout the hotel to be problematic. Despite efforts to minimize exposure, the dust in the carpet exacerbated my allergy symptoms, significantly impacting my comfort during the stay. While I understand that maintaining cleanliness in a hotel environment can be challenging, especially with carpeted floors, I believe there is room for improvement in ensuring that rooms are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to accommodate guests with allergies or sensitivities.
My recent stay at Sotetsu in Tokyo for a tradeshow at Tokyo Big Sight was exceptional. The hotel's location near Tokyo Big Sight made commuting to the tradeshow incredibly convenient, saving me valuable time and hassle. Additionally, the authentic Japanese breakfast provided a delightful culinary experience, allowing me to immerse myself in the local culture. The room exceeded expectations in terms of size, providing ample space to relax and unwind after a busy day. What truly stood out was the relaxing in-room massage, which was exactly what I needed after a long flight. Overall, the hotel provided a fantastic experience, combining convenience, authenticity, and relaxation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tokyo, especially for those attending events at Tokyo Big Sight.
