Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The staff were amazing specifically Jhaiyi. Very attentive with nothing being too hard for him.

United KingdomThe hotel is run by Taiwanese and so does not give a full Japanese experience. Breakfasts were very below standard for the price charged for the stay. Room was nice but did not have an easy chair, telephone, bedside light or mini-fridge, which was astounding considering the price of the room. The hotel is open only for the skiing season, which does not give the management the opportunity to realise its full potential. This is a shame as it could have been excellent.
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. That is their strong point and I appreciated it. Transport to local areas was available at a small charge, Hotel had a bus stop outside. Within easy walking distance to Akakura Kanko ski area, and a rather further walk to local bars and shop and post office. Lovely views.

JapanThe entire lodge is horrendously messy. And I'm not talking about messy in the quaint way some cozy bed and breakfasts are. This is messy like hoarders messy. Not only that, but the the lobby and hallways smelled really bad. The common bath area had dust all over the shelves and mold on the flooring. The lighting is really dim too throughout the entire premises. Staff are super unfriendly.
At least our room was clean. Bedding was clean and mattresses comfortable. The snow equipment dry room is decently sized and the lodge is a short 10 minute walk to Akakura Kanko gondola. They have pickup and dropoff at Myoko Station free of charge if you request in advance.

AustraliaStaff went above to be helpful, however the room itself was extremely noisy, we were in the basement where machines were noisy and staff walking past the doors after midnight. At 1am I eventually found my earplugs to sleep with. Then noises woke me up again around 5am. Perhaps on the upper floor it would have been better, but it felt like we were put in with the staff in the basement level.
Staff were very very helpful, we booked last minute for a night after a train was cancelled.

United KingdomNothing, but please ensure you are ready at mealtimes as they are served when ready and will not wait for you.
Everyone was so helpful and friendly, we felt like nothing was too much trouble. The location was slightly out of town so it was lovely and quiet but with such delicious meals each day we only ventured out once. There is a comfortable bar area where we could relax (with beer or a cup of tea / coffee) and the dining room was light and bright for meals. At the end of each day the onsen eased away the fatigue and prepared us for dinner. As the shuttle bus stop is right outside it was easy to get to all the resorts (you can walk to kanko) and go to see the snow monkeys.

The owners and staff are extremely kind, friendly and helpful, they made us very welcome all the time throughout our stay. Surprised by the stuff organised by the hotel during Xmas and the New Year, which we had a good time. Despite visiting the area the first time, we did not face any difficulties thanks to the helpful member of staff. Cosy environment which made us feel like home. Would definitely recommend this place to others. Location is brilliant as well.
