Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The main downside was the check-in process; I had to manually add passport photos even though I added them ahead of time online. This took longer than anticipated but wasn’t a dealbreaker. On a minor note, the windows in the room were small and didn’t let in a lot of natural light.
This is a fantastic hotel located in the Takanobashi area just a short streetcar ride away from the Peace Park, Atomic bomb dome, and Hondori shopping area. The rooms are bigger than a typical Japanese hotel and feels just right for Western/American standards. Hotel is relatively new and rooms were very clean and included standard amenities. The 7/11 across the street was super convenient! Really great value considering the room size. Didn’t have any issues with noise like others have mentioned.

Check-in process was terrible. Even if sent all the necessary personal details in advance, we still had to put them into the system after arriving. The touch screen of check-in machine (there is no reception) was extremely unresponsive and the whole process took way to long. It's definitely not something you want to face when you're tired after long journey.
Neat and tidy apartment in very convenient location. Equipped in all necessities.

Checking in is tricky and time consuming for foreigners who need to scan their passports on finicky machine and then by email. It Should be fixed to work properly as there is nobody on site to assist. Intercom works and the idea is okay but in practice it is frustrating to guests who do not do self check in often.
Authentic Izakhaya nearby with great atmosphere, not far from Peace memorial by taxi.

Difficult and confusing check in experience, which was resolved by calling an external party. Had to assist other travellers checking in the same time as us.
Good location with a 15 min walk to Hiroshima Peace Park and museum. Tram was a few min walk away. 7/11 across the street. Beds were comfortable and adjustable with remote. Pajamas were also provided which was a nice touch.

The check in process was a bit finicky. When I put our whole group's passport in to the system, somehow it had duplicated one of our passports for everyone. So we ended up having to WhatsApp the pics instead. Given that we had just arrived by the shinkansen from Tokyo and it was 11pm, this was extremely annoying.
Very comfortable and walking distance to majority of the attractions. Shout out to the Katsu Curry place next door - run by the nicest old dude and the food is delicious!

Small issue with the unmanned check in where it would only save 1 passport image out of the 3 guests however was quickly resolved by the call centre.
Nice apartment in a covered arcade a few minutes tram ride from downtown Hiroshima with a direct tram link to Hiroshima Station. Good sized room with a full size fridge and microwave. A 7 eleven directly across from the lobby and a small but well stocked grocery store just minutes walk away. About 15- 20 minutes walk to the Peace Park and shopping areas. Excellent photo and written directions provided to get to the location. Great communication

Check in was disorganised and excessive. I had already completed my pre check in and scanned passports as required. I was required to do this again during check via a machine at the hotel. I was then transferred to an operator where I had to do this a third time. If we have already done this on line, a PIN number to collect the room key should be sufficient. It was a frustrating start to our stay.
It was a good value, clean room with good facilities.

It would be nice if there was silverware and bowls, and blackout curtains.
The apartment was great and very good value. The beds are very comfortable. Lots of space compared to other apartments in Japan.

The only downside (which was expected) was that our room had no window. So theres no view outside. But this is fine. We knew this beforehand.
Well, the price paid was cheap which is good. The place was very quiet and looked very safe. Beds were excellent, shower room was awesome too. I think we got what we needed on the 2 nights of sleep.
