Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaHousekeeping was horrible. They have a rule that you need to be out of the room by 10:00 AM to clean the room, but when you do that, even 4 hours later (at 2:00 PM) the room is still not cleaned. We got back to the room at 2:00 PM; there was no hotel staff, but the room cleaning was unfinished. About 30 minutes later one of the staff showed up and wanted to finish what he left there in progress. We had to leave the room to allow him to do that. A bit of inconvenience. Another time they forgot to replace to used bottled water, had to call the reception. Very inconsistent housekeeping, very un-Japanese. The staff did not seem to be Japanese, perhaps this is the root of the issue. They do not seem to have proper management, perhaps using a checklist for room cleaning would improve the service.
Good location for the event I visited Osaka for.

United StatesSmall shower with moldy smell. The balcony was locked for safety. No parking at the hotel. Pay parking at the Prefecture Office didn't take the coupon the hotel sells.
The beds were large, seating area in room.

BahrainThe fact that the room has no window and the balcony was locked and can't be accessed. The room would be too hot and the air conditioner and ventilation hole doesn't do much to help. The beds were a bit uncomfortable it feels like the mattresses aren't even and has a dent. And also it may be on a good street but it can be a bit loud sometimes whether by loud bikes or construction work.
Near to metro stations, near to osaka castle, on a road with many good restaurants and the staff were very helpful and friendly

BelgiumThe hotel is no 4 stars by any standards. There is no soundproofing despite the claim, and even on the 9th floor you could hear road traffic at any time of the day. The carpet on my floor was badly stained and the breakfast was very poor. The breakfast room was also rather basic. I had a phone in my room but could not make any local calls, not even against payment.
The staff are very kind, the location very good, a 5 minutes’ walk to Osaka Castle, the room very clean.

United StatesThe staff told us to put a sign on the door if we wanted cleaning for the next morning, but the sign for that was literally stuck to the back of our door so we weren't able to get our room cleaned for the entirety of our stay. I'm not sure if that was our fault or not, but it did kind of suck as we would have liked fresh bedsheets at least after the second day for the tatami beds. The room also was pretty dusty, like our table and nightstands as soon as we first checked in, so it kind of sucked having to walk into a new room and wipe everything down ourselves. The check in desk is also on the second floor, which is pretty weird and confusing. There wasn't a sign indicating that to us so we accidentally walked into a restaurant that's directly in front of the door to the hotel. The room is also way smaller than it looks in the pictures unfortunately.
The tatami mats were very comfortable, the hotel was clean, and I loved the bathroom because the tub was huge and it felt super clean. The shampoo and stuff they give you also smelled very good and they give you fresh towels every day. I also loved the tea they give you in the room whatever blend it was. That's all that we liked, though. The hotel staff were cordial but nothing out of the ordinary. If you don't buy the included breakfast you can pay for it day by day for a cheap price but we chose not to as we don't really eat breakfast. I did like the AC and how in the room with both beds and tatami, there are doors you can close to separate the rooms.

United StatesSee above.
Best thing about this hotel was the staff. They were kind and very helpful. I didn’t like the layout of the room or the comfort of the room. It is so awkwardly laid out that you have to constantly go around the openings and post that are smack right in the middle of the room. Toilet room also was located right off the main space. It was small and weird that it was separated from the bathroom.
